I really don't. Arm strength is not a plus in his case. They might take a chance on a guy that has set and watched if he has a cannon, Joey doesn't.

Nice write up about a kid with a great attitude. Joey knows his role and prepares every day. You can say what you want about other things, it takes a lot of mental toughness to go to work every day and work that hard, knowing you might not get the opportunity to make a difference yourself.

A couple of years ago, I expected Joey to emerge as the starter, but knew after the Spring game he was still behind Sam in terms of development and ability.

But seriously, we could have done worse than to have him as our Backup.

The NFL standard is that the favorite player on any team (among fans) is the backup QB.

Probably does not hold true in the case of Joey because, well, Sam is a whole bunch of holy-shmoley. But what is not to like about a guy that maximizes what he has, gives 110%, is extremely loyal, and has his head on straight both for where he is and where he is going.
