I would have to say "No thanks" to this, so I hope Fox offers more money or that this report is false. If ESPN has a monopoly on college football, we are going to get more stale coverage to roll our eyes at. At least with Fox, it brought another network into the mix. If Fox loses the BCS, I hope they at least start having a competitor to ESPN College Gameday or regular football broadcasts aside from FSN.

Depends on if Disney wants it bad enough or if Fox does. Disney does have deeper pockets, no question.

I would hope by 2010 that all the HD equipment is top notch.

This would be just like it was before Fox purchased the rights to the BCS games. ABC used to televise the games. Now they've rebranded all their college football games "ESPN on ABC"

FOX broadcasts are horrible, but I would hate to see ESPN own practically everything. Get some better commentators, FOX!

NBC used to have the Orange Bowl way back when. I think the Rose Bowl aired on NBC a few times too. The Cotton Bowl used to be only CBS (and still is, I think). Sugar Bowl was on ABC...times change.

CBS has way better HD than Fox. Funny thing is, all games on ESPN are in HD but only some on ABC.

Hopefully they will upgrade all of their equipment to HD soon.

No Fox HD here and the local Fox's SD picture looks like they got it off of youtube. The only time I turn to that channel is to show company how bad it looks. I would love to see the BCS go to someone else.

I hated it when NBC had the OB. They used pro football announcers, those guys were always hazy about college rules.

I generally don't like ABC's broadcasts/broadcasters. And, I HATE it when they don't show a game in HD. I was glad to see one of our games on ESPN this year. Theirs are always in HD.

My favorite thing about watching the Cotton Bowl on TV lately has been getting to hear Pat Summerall do the play-by-play.

I hate Fox having the BCS, 'cause they don't have enough announcers. They only do, what, two or three games a week over on FSN? And then they don't even use their regular college football announcers, instead jamming the booth with whatever castoffs ESPN and CBS don't have locked up already.

Gah.
