I really need to quit underestimating Oregon. Every time I think they've reached the pinnacle in ugliness, they go and do something like this.

There have been a few new unis this season that have had cat scratches or claws or whatever on them. Here's the two I'm thinking of:

As these hideous highlights from the USC embarrassment show (arg! you had a chance to win! A CHANCE! boooooo), Cal has a few extra stripes near the neckline and on the pants. They look simple but from a distance and during games actually look really sharp (even if their on-field play does not).

While they looked abysmal versus us a certain opponent that may keep them from the conference title, rage, those pants stripes really look cool.

And now... Oregon uniforms...it's not just football, but baseball too:

However, I suspect it's a hype-up-the-blackout-crowd move. I don't think these unis are permanent, but just for the next game versus Arizona.

If you take away the O on the pant leg of the white baseball uni. That is one of the better looking sets I have seen.

I remember when they started the baseball uniform for football fad. They wore all black with green sleeves. Those looked pretty sharp and a bunch of schools in arkansas who had green in their colors started using it. The rest of the **** they put out sucks a bag of dicks!

Guys, I know they look awful on the shelf, but maybe they'll look halfway cool on the field (even as Zona's Coach Mikey makes them look awful playing football). I mean, even OKC Thunder's uniforms looked terrible on the shelf, but those home unis on the court are kind of classic looking :)

Funny story about those "band helmets." They were pulled after too many of the boosters here called in and complained that they looked like Nazi helmets.

Actually, I have to admit - the wings are a TON better than most of their other uniforms. I kind of like it.

It's a trade-off. On the one hand, you have to wear sh*t-ugly unis but on the other hand, at least Phil Knight doesn't lose all their money on timeshares in Boca or whatever.

I'm with you Badj - they look better than the last design. I like the mix of teams like Oregon willing to go cutting edge and a traditional team like OU that sticks with the past. If we ever change the OU logo on the helmets, I'll be crushed.

The uni's away look alright, the home uni's look like Knick wannabe's. or better yet Dorito's http://www.nationwidecandy.com/mmcandypb/doritobuffaloranch_thumb.jpg And the logo is still WNBA style suckage.
