Got asked a question the other day, thought I might ask you guys. ( Most on this board are a lot more wise when it comes to football then me).

Very simple. Assume the 3 way tie happens in the south.

But Florida loses their last game to Florida State, and then Beats Alabama in the SEC ship. Besides the Big 12 winner ( assuming its from the south) who is the other team that gets in the national title game ????

Utah baby!!!!!

Penn State (assuming they win out)

i'm thinking they'd put the old man and Big 10 champ in over a 2 loss SEC champ and some one-loss runners up

If you go by the BCS numbers, Tech or Texas.

The polls would have suc there, no doubt.

I still think it will be Bama, with 1-loss. Unless a USC or Utah jump that high, which is highly doubtful.

The feeling I am getting from everyone is that the pollsters will not allow two teams from the same conference to play in the MNC. Because if your scenario were to happen, most likely the polls would look like.....#1 OU #2 Texas #3 USC #4 Texas Tech...that is, if the Sooners win out.

So a 1 loss SUC, gets in before a 1 loss big 12 team? I could see it happening, it's just so funny that they lost to a horrible team.

they aren't as horrible as Ole Miss.....Oregon St controls their own destiny, if they win out they go to the Rose Bowl....

No way USC gets in. Bama and the other 2 big 12 south teams would get in before, I think..... or at least should get in.

the voters last year pretty much chose the SEC champ to go because that was who they wanted even though Georgia was ranked higher, as well as Virginia Tech and Kansas

Right, but USC to even get considered to go without winning their conference which does not even have a conference championship game is stupid. If that happens college football really needs a change.

No way it is Tech. If they lose late to OU they are not going to be high enough in the BCS. They also have no shot at playing for the Big 12 in that case. (Now, if we beat them and lose to OSU then, yes, they have a shot but that isn't the 3 way tie scenario.)

It will probably be USC but there is a chance at an OU/TX rematch.

It will not be PSU. They lost too late and didn't play a tough enough schedule.

Here's another question? If we end up in a 3 way tie and (as I predict) Texas goes to the conference champ game, do we claim a co-south championship?

I know it was pathetic a few years ago when Texas did just that. But in that case it was a simple head-to-head tie-breaker. When it's a BCS/vote tie-breaker then maybe it has legitimacy.

Or we can just be above all of that....

TT especially since they will have beaten the north champ Missou, just like OU will.In my scenario though UF beats 'Bama in the SEC ccg after losing to either Spurrier and the Gcocks or Booby Blowden and Free Shoe.

Starting to look like the first coach ever to Win 2 BCS championships will be this year.

i guess they are technically co-champs if they and Oregon win out

It would be 'SC. Even if they end up tied with Oregon st., they would be considered conference winners and would get the human vote over conference non-winners. That's why I'm hoping UF and Bama win out.

It's just a joke that if Oregon State wins out, they will have rights to the Rose Bowl, and USC will not. But USC will have rights to the National title, possibly. haha system sucks.

If USC got in before a 1 loss big 12 team, I would be more mad then I was on election night.
