Pulled from another site, is this for real?

After several radio commentators have called him on the agenda he has listed on his web site @ http://change.gov/agenda/urbanpolicy/ the Obama transition team has pulled the full details of his agenda off his web site.

The web page now shows "The page you requested is not available right now.", but if you want to see what he really has planned for us you can see the original page here: www.tinyurl.com/5gznwl .

A few of his plans are to reinstate and make permanent the Clinton weapons ban and to increase the weapons included in the ban, to completely ban all forms of "racial" profiling (and any of us that have true profiling experience know this is an important investigative tool when used correctly and racial profiling is just one element of "profiling" criminals and criminal activity) and to spend an enormous amount of money on special programs, "tax credits", etc.

If he is so committed to these causes, why did his team pull them from the web site? If he can't take the heat of the American people and press, how will he ever stand up to communist and marxist dictators around the world?

well, it might be that its in flux, and in order to prevent freak-outs, they pulled it until its firm. I heard on npr this a.m. they're reading all the GWB Executive Orders to see whcih one's they'll put in the circular file. That's pretty standard though.

New Holiday Alert: Obama Day

Plans are being made to promote a national holiday for Barack Obama, who will become the nation's 44th president when he takes the oath of office Jan. 20.

"Yes We Can" planning rallies will be at 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. every Tuesday at the downtown McDonald's restaurant, 1100 Kansas Ave., until Jan. 13. The goals are to secure a national holiday in Obama's honor, to organize celebrations around his inauguration and to celebrate the 200th birthday of President Abraham Lincoln, who was born on Feb. 12 1809.

So what. That's roughly equivalent with my getting together a group of my friends on Facebook with the goal of getting an official Veritas day.

Well, it wasn't just his Urban Policy agenda that was pulled. He had detailed pages on about 30-40 different topics (e.g., Energy, Technology, Infrastructure). With all of them pulled, I think it more likely they're doing like Homey said and waiting to see what Bush does the next couple of months before they put everything out there.

Jheez. Like Snopes hasn't been busy enough.
If'n BO's site included that gun language, we'd have heard it before now.

It was up there long enough for Google to cache it. That is a Google IP (I ran a traceroute).

I don't see that data as being surprising or sensational.

That site doesn't go into nearly as many specifics as did the change.gov website. I read the agenda part a few days ago and it had some pretty aggressive language. Odd that it was pulled. It used to be listed at the bottom of the main page but even the links are all gone.
