or 2?Believe it or not for all the moaning and gnashing of teeth about OUr ground game we could have TWO 1,000 yard rushers this season.Current stats:

Murray 146c-804 yards-11TDs- 80.4 ypg

Brown 128c-778 yards-12 TDs-77.8 ypg

With at least 3 games left it is possible both Murray and Brown could break 1,000.To do so both need to average less yards per game than they are currently totaling.Murray needs 196 yards or 65.3 ypg,Brown needs 74.0 ypg.I don't if both will make it but at least one should.

If both were to make it that would be the 4th time that has happened at OU: McPhail-Vessels,Mildren-Pruitt,Clark-Washington.

Yes they do. The stats used to not count bowl games, then they changed it. 1999 or 2000 I think? I remember there was some controversy over it.

I really don't see why they can't retroactively add the stats to the old players totals.

Schools can but not the NCAA records.Exactly,OU DID redo their records after the NCAA stat change But apparently the NCAA has no desire to be fair to past players.Then again if the NCAA believed in fair,USC would be facing severe sanctions,if not the death penalty.

They have, i.e. Joe Washington used to be OU's career rushing leader, now it's Billy.True but now Joe is over 4,000 yards rushing in his career.Switzer once told a story about how Little Joe was mad at him after the final game of Joe's regular season career.He said he didn't know until years later but swears if he(Switzer) knew Little Joe was only 5 yards shy of 4,000 for his career(prior to OU redoing their record book to include bowl games) he would have put him back in the game,

Also I just finished rewatching the aTm game and I heard the announcers say Murray had not scored any rushing TDs this year.My response to that was WTF?11 rushing TDs don't count?

Has OU ever had two RB's go over 1,000 yards rushing in the same season? That would be pretty cool if Murray and Brown accomplish that.
