Before you guys cry about UT jumping us, they beat us. Pollsters got it right, for now.

Point taken, but I'm still going to complain, though. ;)

If a pollster thought OU was still better than Texas after last week's poll, then the only reason they'd have for moving UT over OU would be if the Sooners gave them a reason to yesterday.

And I don't think they did.

Florida gets a 1st place vote despite having a loss. Unreal.

Texas deserves to be ahead of us until we beat TT...if we do that we will jump them. Our loss to them will be washed by our beating a team that beat them, therefore the voters no longer have to vote them higher for beating us IMHO

Someone thinks the gators will beat bama in the CCG and they are putting an "I told you so" in their back pocket.

Or maybe they realized their knee-jerk reaction after watching Tech dismantle a good OSU team and acknowledged that they were a little harsh on UT last week.

Which is why I don't care too much for polls. ;)

I don't have a problem with Texas being ahead of us. The problem is when they kneejerk, they have to essentially make another wrong to correct the first one.

Anyway, I feel confident that if OU beats Tech convincingly, they'll move ahead of both teams.

Yup. It'll all work out if we win out I believe.

Ditto. If I hear one more talking head say that Florida gets this nod over Texas or OU because they are playing the best ball right now, then I think my head will explode.

So is it more about quality wins or bad losses. Losing to an unranked, conference team at home is inexcusable, period.

Texas has not slipped a beat and OU is playing as well as they have all year. The Sooners have found the run game again and the D is improving week to week.

The reason the D is so great in the SEC is because they have 1960's offenses. Some of those D's are going to look pretty silly come bowl time.

Let's go SOONERS - just win out and shut 'em up.

Okay, I'm better now.

Probably. But it's a huge presumption to have them jump Tech as well. Voters shouldn't be already be forecasting their national champion. They should be voting based on current results on the field. If/when UF beats everyone on their schedule, then vote them #1. Voters suck.

All the more reason we need a playoff; settle the ****ing thing on the field

Florida has been getting the "I told you so" votes for 3 weeks.

SEC bias setting in.

IMO what is taking place is that they are trying to make damn sure there isn't two Big XII Teams playing for the MNC.

A loss by Bama by a weak polled Florida in the SEC Championship might leave them out so they are getting love and the SEC winner will get a shot at the Big XII winner.

If Tech and Bama wins out...they deserve the shot and it would make one heck of a MNC game IMO.

If the whorns and OU win out...it will be interesting to say the least.

Do Cincy and TCU give us 'quality win' points since they're ranked or do they need to be in the top 10 before that happens?

It is funny that this is the exact reason USC was not going to make the title game last year. They lost at home to Stanford. Now because Florida is in the SEC (read: God's chosen conference:rolleyes:) that point doesn't matter. Man I hate polls.

USC would have made the title game if they had beaten Oregon.

But they didn't and they were one of several 2-loss teams with a shot to go and that Stanford loss held them back. All I am saying is why it isn't being done to Florida.

Maybe they are just assuming that we are going to beat Tech :)
