OK, you move in. you got hammer some nails to hang pictures or whatever. this guy sucks. all kinds of excessive, inefficient hammering noise. i'm making coffee this AM and sort of chuckling about it.

so, i see the guy up close for the first time about half an hour ago....and he's got one arm.

i guess that explains it. booya!

I'm really kind of wondering how he gets the nail to hold still for the first hammering. Does he use his mouth or something?

I guess the old saying "It's not how well the one-armed man hammers that's the wonder, it's that he hammers at all" is what we have to think about here.

Hopefully he was hanging pictures after he hung the wallpaper.

jesus Jed, you're worse than most of the songs on Green.

a hammer with a magnetic contact end?

my pops used to have a small hammer like that in the garage when i was a kid.

Heh, my apartment building is crawling with Spanish-speaking contract workers replacing the siding. It's always great being woken up by the sounds of saws and people hammering on your walls. Heck, they even tore down the barrier on my balcony so that they replace the siding on it.

Oh, I see how it is. Now I'm going to go randomly delete one of Froze's posts. BRB.

Also, KC, you obviously didn't check out that Douglas before you posted. That thing is a work of art.

why not? hey, you started this. Green does suck, though.

i did see them on that tour in San Diego and they were still pretty good live.

Saw the same tour. Life's Rich Pageant was a much better show. Doesn't change the fact that Green was still a good album. You can suck it.

in terms of MTV friendly, soft arena rock....i guess you are right.

even pageant was a glorious monastic experience compared to pop song and stand!

i could live a million years....

Dude, I'm not gonna defend Stand, and Orange Crush, and the like. But surely you can't hate World Leader Pretend and Turn You Inside Out? When I say that I still liked Green, I specifically am thinking of those two songs, in fact. We've had this discussion before, and at the time I said I felt like they started out as a band that had a number of great songs and a couple of clunkers on each album, and that they slowly reversed that. I'll give you that Green had far more clunkers than great songs, but the two that I mentioned are not radio friendly arena rock songs.

Heh. My defensive act worked. Now you feel bad.

King Crimson

i'm not sure i feel bad. i tell you to see REM records for sale at Target was something only an old timer could just barely fathom to think without impossible horror.

i know now how things work. but, that was sad.
