Bruce Springstein and the East Street Band - Born to Run

Hall and Oates - Maneater (the echo was actually a mistake in the original recording but they liked it so it stayed.)

Grover Washington Jr. - Just The Two Of Us

Billy Joel - Just the Way You Are

OMD - If You Leave

Wham - Careless Whisper

Spandau Balet - True

I know these might not qualify for the "killer" tag but they are some that stand out to me as being integral parts of memorable songs.
