And before you ask: no, we are not recruiting him.

Nevertheless, it's an amazing catch and play.

Auburn recruit's catch opens eyes (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writers/andy_staples/11/04/tight.end/index.html)

Looks like an illegal forward pass to me.

Umm... isn't that a backward pass i.e. lateral?

Dan, you have a peculiar notion of "forward".

Are you, by chance, a ref?

:D

USC always gets love even if it's illegal.

Just a dead-end hook-and-lateral. I like it.

Wouldn't you love to hear BB on the call: "And Lutzerkerkereen makes a spectaculous play!"

Auburn recruit? Big deal.

Their offense will never get close enough to the end zone to run that play.

Technically he never possessed the ball in the first place. If the other guy wouldna caught the ball it would be an incomplete pass.

Although that is an incredible, heads up play, it does not mean that we need to recruit him. Also, did someone actually infer that this was a forward pass? Please tell me that are fans know more about football than that.

You are the kind of fan who boos at the ref, no matter if there really is a penalty or not, aren't you. That brings me to this point: OU does commit penalties!! Granted, there have been many questionable (or outright bogus) calls through the years, but more often than not the refs are right. When the opposing player nearly has his head ripped off by a facemask or is obviously interfered with, please do not boo the ref. It just makes OU fans look like they don't know the rules of the game.

Ugh you're right Big D Sooner. These people should not have the right to speak in public.

Because Big Bob could never pronounce that in a million years.

Didn't have control of the ball ? He lateraled it to another player.

Hmm.. I think his back foot might have been out of bounds. Still, it's an amazing play!

If he survived Chijioke he can handle anything. :D

Your foot has to touch for you to have control... Or so i always thought.

This was just a type of tip-drill. Nothing more.

I was about to say oh, ok. But, think of the ruling if and when a player is in the air in bounds and knocked free of the ball. A controlled ball would be a fumble, uncontrolled incomplete pass. Whether or no his feet ever touch. huh?
