I've been dogging this guy the entire night. As much as I hate him, if he does good I will be happy. I'm sure most people could careless what I think. But for a minute take off your republican/democrat glasses. And take a wild guess at this question.

Will Obama be a 2 term president?

A better question is, how much is he going to actually change our economy for the better or the worse?

If he's helping the economy then who cares how long he's in office....

I never thought an unknown Governor from Arkansas would beat George Bush, so who can really say?

Thing that sucks for Obama is he will be judged harder every time he makes a big decision

Whichever is most foolish.

If he and his majority in the senate and house run rough-shod over the other half of this country with hardcore leftist ideas he will be in trouble in four years.

Let's see if he puts his money where his mouth is.

If he socializes our healthcare, tax system and economy, I think he will have a difficult time getting re-elected.

Then again, I'm sorry to say I think his election and the congressional results may be seen as a mandate.

I hope we know what we've asked for.

I'm a lot more concerned about his collegues in Congress than I am him specifically, for the most part. I think he is mostly well-intentioned. I believe it when he says that he wants to take America to a better place, I just don't agree with his strategies for getting there.

Of course, I also strongly believe that GWB had good intentions.

The thing that concerns me the most is that he and more importantly his congressional collegues will read this election as an American mandate for liberal politics, instead of what it was, a negative reaction to the current administration and the morass we are stuck in thanks to it, congress, and previous Presidential administrations. I think they will see it as a mandate for liberal politics much in the way GWB mistook American fear of terrorism for a mandate for his policies in 2004.

To answer the original question, I think if they do this, and seriously ratchet up stereotypical tax-and-spend, and continue the current acrimonious partisan bickering, he's a one-termer.

If he tries to go bipartisan, however -- and taps the brakes on an overeager Democratic congress -- he could easily see two terms. People are obviously desperate for the hope that he's peddling. But he won't be able to keep peddling it if the Republicans are forced to take a wet bite out of his *** at every turn. Reagan worked well with a Democratic congress, and Clinton played well with a Republican-controlled one, both surprising people who expected them to behave much differently. He would do well to a page out of their books.

The economy will start to rebound sometime next year. It's just inevitable.
