She'll be playing Tina Fey's twin sister on 30 Rock.

She'll go back to Alaska and be governor would be my guess.

I've heard some conservative commentators suggest she can use this experience as a springboard to 2012, but I'm not so sure.

Too far out to tell, IMO. But if you held a gun to my head, whichyouboughtbecauseyoufearobamawilltakeawayallof yourguns, I'd say Jindal's a better bet in '12. ;)

She'll finish out her term as Governor. She will not be the Republican nominee in '12. No defeated VP nominee has ever been nominated for the presidency in the next cycle.

She will likely run against Mark Begich for the Senate in 2014.

Doing interviews about being the first female major-party candidate for Vice President. Unfortunately for Palin, she won't have that distinction.

Idiot. Sarah Palin has never kept a "g" on the end of a word in her life. It'd be Whalin' with Palin

I bet she takes the time to learn how to give an interview on national TV without looking like a deer in the headlights.

I'm afraid she is going to be a major player in the GOP for years to come, highly popular with the far right wing of the party. The problem for the GOP is there is not a long-term future with the issues the far right values - pro-life, ban gay marriage, deport illegals, etc. Traditionally red states like Texas, Florida, even Arizona, will become blue ones in the future, thanks to changing demographics, especially the increasing Hispanic population. Younger generations care less and less about anti-gay issues. The GOP needs to redefine itself to be more appealing to the groups which will get them into the White House, and Palin, who will remain immensely popular with the far right, is not the person who will do it.

she'll go away, and the GOP will trot her out when they fear being cash strapped at fundraisers.

She'll go away, thankfully, but be trotted out every four years as a pundit as her thirst for Neiman Marcus cannot be quenched.

Edit: Wait, I'm wrong. He lost the nomination for VP to Estes Kefauver, back when conventions actually did stuff.

Damn close though, skippy :D But Sarah's a maverick....

...sexism is still alive and kicking. BOOYAA!

I'm reading lots of Walsh, Carter and McGoldrick's writings and so far, I'm convinced that they still live in the 60s with there "scientific" rhetoric. According to them Racism, Classism, Sexism, and every other type of -ism is everywhere all the time. They actually argue that the "Traditional" family was founded on Bigotry and Sexism. They have some good points, but with all their anger, two words come to mind while reading. Cognitive Dissonance.
