You know, the ones who are calling him the worst President in American history. The ones who think he is the Anti-Christ. The ones who think he hasn't done anything right for the past eight years. The ones who are still bitching and complaining that he's the "Commander-In-Thief."

YOU PEOPLE MAKE ME SICK!

That man took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States to the best of his abilities. That meant he acted, to the best of his abilities, in a manner that he thought was best for our country...not like his predecessor who changed opinions whenever the polls dictated. What the hell is wrong with a man who has principles and actually sticks to them? That doesn't make him evil...that makes him a man! Believe me, I didn't agree with everything that the President has done. I didn't agree with some of the protective measures taken after 9/11 (the wiretapping of phones), the lack of what to do in Iraq after the regime change occurred, the INSANE amount of government spending, etc. But that doesn't mean that he is the devil...it means he actually has the balls to stand up for what he believes in. But that's not good enough for you people. You want to destroy every shred of decency on this man for no palpable reason. You want to villify the man who had to deal with one of the darkest days in US history...and the man who has kept us safe since then. But that's not good enough for you.

Now we have elected as our next President the man who has lead the charge to undermine the current President. Enjoy President O'Bomba. You wanted change? I guarantee that that will be exactly what the majority of you will have left in your pockets when he's through. You wanted hope? Well, here's hoping that he gets the same vile and venomous treatment that has inflicted upon President Bush these past eight years. However, I also hope that none of the racist SOB's that sparsely populate this country (although Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson will have you believe otherwise) do anything to harm this man.

Am I angry? You bet! Do I hate the man? Nope. Do I think that this President-elect and his wife, by their past actions, writings, associations, etc are racist, socialist? Absolutely!

Congratulations Bush-haters. You've won!

I'm one of the more anti-Bush people around here, and I at least waited until he actually did something wrong from the Oval Office before I really came out against him.

In short: Do yourself a favor and chill out. Things might just turn out better than you think. If not, there'll be plenty of time to rant and rave.

I know. I've had 5 years to do so.

You know what? I voted for Bush the past two elections. I thought he was the best option at the time. As far as his military decisions, I don't fault him a bit - Ithink he's been a very effective leader in that manner.

However, his domestic and economic policies have been quite a bit less than stellar.

What did he do in that 3rd year that you felt was so bad to get the rant and rave going?

It became apparent to me at about that time that one of two things occurred when his administration was selling the Iraq War:

(1) Deliberate deceit.
(2) Unbelievable incompetence.

Now, I'm willing to put up with a lot of horse**** from politicians. But when it becomes crystal clear to me that one of the above two has put American servicemen in harm's way, I draw the line.

(PS: I'm sure that the principle applies to all of you, even if you disagree with my conclusion. And let's not argue whether my conclusion is correct or not here. We've done it, ad nauseum, for years. Nobody's mind is going to be changed.)

I voted for JSM. I would prefer for him to win but I don't think there is going to be some catastrophe if he doesn't.

I was talking with by brother the other day (another JSM supporter) and I said that I actually hoped that BHO won. My reasoning was the short term gain that would surely come. IMO much of our economy is driven by nothing more than consumer confidence. If people things are good, it is OK to buy that bass boat, plasma tv, fence, pool, etc. If they are bad, we better hole up Dean style and sock money away in mason jars. If BHO wins, or when he wins, I believe the message from the media will be very positive.

I look forward to the days when our economy is reported with a positive, or even level, slant.

With all that said, I will support BHO as I have any other President.

I know I did and while I felt he was a little over the top, in many ways he was correct. The left decided at some point in time that they would all hate GW and make him out to be this horrible human being which he is not. The way some of you call him Hitler, a murderer, a racist, etc. is sick!

When I say some of you I mean some dems, not you on this board.

He made mistakes and the point that SSC made stands true, if BO screws up whether it be his fault or his cronies, dont cry about it when he gets ripped to shreds by some on the right...that will not include myself, just saying though!

Congratulations Bush-haters. You've won!2 points.

1) He took an oath to uphold the Constitution then did everything he could to undermine and circumvent it.

2) He had, at one time, not only the highest approval rating of any President ever, but a Congress that was rubber stamping everything he wanted to pass. So how you can, with a straight face, assert that people "undermined" him or didn't give him a fair shake is AMAZING to me. And is completely out of touch with reality. He fell as far and as fast as he did on HIS decisions, HIS policies and HIS mistakes. He EARNED our scorn and disgust.

He lost America. HE cost Republicans many seats in the Senate and in the HOR. HE cost Republicans the White House (and an amazing President in McCain). HE presided over the most secretive, most divisive, most antagonistic and arrogant Presidency in modern history.

He was the worst President ever. And history will bear this out. I make you sick? Fine. Bush made the whole freakin' world sick. Deal with it.

That man took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States to the best of his abilities.
His abilities were so-so along with his defense of the Constitution.

That meant he acted, to the best of his abilities, in a manner that he thought was best for our country...not like his predecessor who changed opinions whenever the polls dictated.
The man stubbornly refused to change tactics in virtually any situation in order to adapt to changing situations. This isn't just true in Iraq, but it's also true in how he dealt with Congress and promoted his own domestic agenda. He is woefully inept.

What the hell is wrong with a man who has principles and actually sticks to them?
Absolutely nothing, but Bush didn't stick to his principles so much as he stuck to polices.

That doesn't make him evil...that makes him a man!
[hairGel]

Believe me, I didn't agree with everything that the President has done. I didn't agree with some of the protective measures taken after 9/11 (the wiretapping of phones), the lack of what to do in Iraq after the regime change occurred, the INSANE amount of government spending, etc. But that doesn't mean that he is the devil...it means he actually has the balls to stand up for what he believes in.
Do you neocons ever stop to remember that there is such a thing as domestic policy and it's fairly important. It's not jsut the war in Iraq that was the problem. It was the truly massive and astonishing amounts of money the man spent and the degree, the degree to which he increased the size of the Federal government, the huge new entitlement programs he promoted, and the unconstitutional infringement on states' rights especially in education.

Nope, it's sure as hell not.

[quote]You want to destroy every shred of decency on this man for no palpable reason.
He's a decent man, and doesn't deserve the personal attacks. Having said that, he's a horrible President and should never ever be considered a role model for any conservative politician in no small part to the fact that he isn't the least bit conservative.

You want to villify the man who had to deal with one of the darkest days in US history...and the man who has kept us safe since then. But that's not good enough for you.
It's a question of the means -- not the ends.

Now we have elected as our next President the man who has lead the charge to undermine the current President.
Led the charge? That's absolutely not true. He wasn't in the Senate for the overwhelming majority of Bush's time in office, and when he was he certainly didn't do anything that could be construed as undermining the President. I'd like to hear evidence of this aside from legitimate differences in policy.

Enjoy President O'Bomba.
This is neither cute, witty, or funny.

You wanted change? I guarantee that that will be exactly what the majority of you will have left in your pockets when he's through.
Of course I don't want change. No conservative in his or her right mind wants his sort of change, but opposing Bush doesn't automatically make Obama bad or wrong and vice versa.

You wanted hope? Well, here's hoping that he gets the same vile and venomous treatment that has inflicted upon President Bush these past eight years.
Let's grow up a little.

However, I also hope that none of the racist SOB's that sparsely populate this country (although Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson will have you believe otherwise) do anything to harm this man.
Ok.

I think you overreact. Take a break from listening to the angry right-wing panic machine. Obama's only the President, not der Fuhrer. The American people have not lost their minds. Assuming the GOP extracts its head (or Mr. Rove's head) from its anus, equilibrium will start return in 2010.

I just have one question and a statement.

If you are so against the idea of socialism then how can you still support Bush after his "Economic Stimulus Package" and the more recent "bailout" proposal?

Since you are the one displaying an inordinant amount of hatred for the man that will soon be the one you have a sworn allegience to protect and support, it might be a good idea to either do some severe soul searching (and anger management therapy) or put in your retirement paperwork. With the words you have published on this forum you would be a true liability to our nation's defense as I do not feel we can count on you to follow your C-I-C without hesitation.

That is a slightly shifted off-center myth.

He cannot make a public statement for (without DoD endorsement)/against his CIC while doing so gives the implication he is speaking officially as an Air Force officer. Nor can he work for a campaign that has a political party affiliation.

However, as a private citizen, he is entitled to freedom of speech just like youse and mees. Bumper stickers, yard signs, attendance at events, etc.

Perhaps there are a few statements there in his quasi-meltdown that would not be a good idea once BHO has taken the oath, but again, someone would have to go to the trouble to report him and I'm confident we all only do our reporting to the Mods...right?

nah, nothing on this board is worth reporting to a mod. Despite how apparently too many on the board feel about that.

You've won!

It's people like you why I left Oklahoma and got my dream job. Thanks!
Keep it up.
