Am I the only one who realizes that we have let up in every game save Texas? And I the only one who gets pissed off when we bring in Hazle and have him hand the ball off for 4 straight series, and not be allowed to run the offense in case of emergency?

Bob doesn't want the score to be really high for some reason.

I know why it happens, but I still get pissed after every handoff up the gut

I understand it but it is irritating. It's a little troubling that we really havent put together a whole game so far this season. And the one game we 've been required to do so, we fell apart in the 4th quarter.

Well, thank you very much! And that reminds me...
Have you heard the radio PSA about not farting in your house?
Monty Python and SNL couldn't have come up with a joke better than the reality. It just goes to show you who can qualify as a charitable cause these days.

Not sure I agree entirely. I think it's more that when we've got the lead, Stoops wants to establish the run more to burn clock. In every game but one, we've been pretty much able to score at will, but we need to be able to establish the run.

I always see Halzle get a series with the rest of the starters. I see him pass a few times too.

The only time it annoyed me was with the starters in the TCU game. TCU sold out to stop the run while Manny had 200 yds receiving on 5 catches. In the 2nd half, Bob or KW decided to prove we could indeed run on them, but only ended up proving we couldn't. Our 1st team offense left the field very frustrated. I would have rather seen us pass over their heads a couple more times or at least mix it up.

I don't have any problem with the 2nd string coming in, but I want them to run the whole play book. If something should happen to the starters, I would like to know the back ups has practice more than fullback dive in live games

Sounds like what I was going to reply with. We are actually getting outscored in the 4th. Sure, for every game except for one, there has been no need to open it up in the 4th. However, it would be nice to see if the offense could indeed score at will in the 4th. So far this year, they haven't done that. Like others said above, put the backups in and let them run the playbook. Forget the run up the middle plays. With injuries piling up, the second and third stringers need more than just plays that run down the clock.

I love watching the 2nd string come in and gain valuable game experience.

We don't want to give up all our awesome offensive schemes playing the likes of Chatt, Cincy, Baylor, KSU and a has-been Nebraska. I am not concerned about this in the least.

As bad as OUr D is... don't you think they're just a little bit better than teams we're laying 62 points on?

I would have rather seen us pass over their heads a couple more times or at least mix it up.It's Bob's decision, trust me.I agree 100 % though that I would rather keep attacking and scoring.

WA.Sooner your point is another one I have argued for.Continuing to attack offensively whether it is with the first or second team is a must.If the first team is out there it keeps them sharp by not going into stall mode.Secondly(and IMHO more importantly) it gives us more ESPN highlights and a more impressive victory by score.I got sick of listening to talking heads discuss that we only beat KU by 14(like we BARELY beat them).By contrast TT kept the hammer down and had a more impressive ESPN highlight package vs. KU and it was hailed as a HUGE win.Like it or not the BCS is a beauty contest where all the contestants have very similar records. The most beautiful season gets you votes and computer points.

Second point is when the second team is out there playing stall-ball they are not going to be fully motivated.I agree let Halzle throw ,and more than slants, screens.Let Madu and Johnson attack the off-tackle and corners instead of up the gut,run play- action on 1st down.Simply running on first and second down, then trying to pick up a 1st down with a short pass on third and long does NOT help younger players develop. If you let them TRY to score, they will work harder, hustle more and be more prepared to play if needed this year or next season when they ARE needed.I think when you know you are in stall mode, players often just go through the motions.

I think Bob has been more reluctant to try to score in the 2nd half when he has a comfortable lead ever since the 77-0 shellacking of aTm.Hence we have the attacking, score as much as you can first half and stall mode ,run-the clock second half.Just MHO.

If we never came out of the locker room for the second half this year we would be 22nd in the nation in scoring. Interesting stat I heard today.
