My condolences to Senator Obama.

Or illegally for that matter.

Anyway, condolences to the Obamas for their loss. Good to know he was able to get over to Hawaii to see her before she passed on.

Was this his white one or the black one? Seriously just curious.

His white one. The one who raised him most of his life.

Good thinking, Froz.

And for the record, condolences to the family. It's always hard to lose a loved one.

Is this the same grandmother that he threw under the bus to defend his relationship with rev Wright?

Yeah sorry for his loss. The Democrats will cast her vote for her tomorrow anyway.

As it happens, she already voted absentee.

Under Hawaii election law (which is consistent with the other states) an absentee ballot cast by someone who subsequently dies is counted.

That sucks for BHO. Man, I'm younger than him and my grandma died New Year's eve of 88.

GTFOOH!!!

Think about it this way:

Can you imagine the paperwork nightmare involved with checking all absentee ballots to make sure that the person who cast them didn't die between the postage date and the first Tuesday in November?

Trust me, it ain't like he needs her vote in Hawai'i anyhow.

Surely there are computers that can do this sort of paperwork.

I think the humor is that it's been reported that she voted absentee before she kicked the bucket. Like it's really all that important. "Yeah, Barack's loving typical white racial stereotyping grandma has passed away, but thank God she managed to vote before the lights went out."

Possibly. But there's two things to consider with that:

1. When were the laws written?

2. Who really wants to submit a bill to deny someone on their deathbed the ability to send in one final ballot?

True. Particularly in a state as unlikely to vote for a Republican as Hawai'i.

Then again, not NEARLY the silliest thing reported on in this cycle.

She was alive when the voting window opened, she just didn't make it till the window closed.

If a dude gets capped in LA after casting his ballot, they aren't going to void his vote just cause he died before the polls closed. Same basic principle here.

I don't think there is currently a way for humans to quantify how silly this entire election has been.

If his brother thinks that 75% smokes ice or shoots meth, I'd say there's a real good chance he smokes ice or shoots meth.

I heard gramama did a hit of meth with grandson just before he slipped her an absebtee ballot and said, "Here's your will granny."
