Texas Beats OU
TT Beats Texas
OU Beats TT

Three way tie for the BIG XII South title and you cant use head to heads to determine the champion. What system does the conference go to to decide these things?

Highest ranked at the end wins the south.

I was unaware of this...until last Friday. IronHorseSooner filled me in on this...SO, the next big question is this: IF we beat TTU and OSU do we get the votes over sexaT since they beat us?

Yes, as long as TT beats OSU. There has to be a 3 way tie because UT will have the nod over us if it is a two way tie because they beat us.

Of course, a tie goes to Tech who gets a first and ten for going 9 yards.

If OSU beats Tech and we beat Tech and OSU, wouldn't we most likely go ahead of Texas in the BCS Poll and win the Big 12? Because Texas's schedule is easy from here on out except for maybe the Kansas game in Lawrence

In a 2-way tie for first with Texas we would lose due to the head to head loss. We need at least a 3 way tie and the highest BCS ranking.

Is it possible that Texas could play for the Big XII CG, but we play in the NC?

If osu beats tech, then we beat them both and run the table, it would be a 2-way tie with texass. Texass would get in the Big XII CG based on head-to-head. However, it is possible that after 2 quality wins, OU could be ranked ahead nationally considering texas' biggest game left is KU. If Penn St. or Bama stumble, why isn't this plausible?

Selma, have you just been hanging out at the Fark Board for the past month instead of at the football board when we've been discussing this to death? :D:D:D

TCU plays (11/6) @Utah, (11/22) Air Force-- Utah is winnable. I don't know how far in the rankings TCU would drop after losing to Utah though. They beat BYU, and that's about it, so nobody knows how good they are (or how good Utah is). You can probably pencil in Air Force as a win. TCU is getting major national respect right now. Having them go 11-1 and be a BCS buster would be HUGE for us.

Cincinnati plays @WVU (11/8), @Louisville (11/14), Pitt (11/22), Syracuse (11/29), and @Hawaii (12/6). They have a slate of games coming up. Go ahead and chalk up 'ville, Syracuse, and probably Hawaii (they're atrocious this year) as wins. WVU is a toss up. Cincinnati got drilled @Connecticut earlier this year 40-16. I'd put my money on WVU. Still, Cincinnati goes 10-3, maybe 10-2. I don't know where this would put them in the Big East rankings and, frankly, I don't care.

So, with the help of these two non-conf teams can we jump Texas in the BCS?

*P.S. Tech doesn't only have to beat OSU. They have Robert Griffin left on their schedule*

*P.S.S. Rooting against Texas the rest of the year is fun and would put the ball back in our court for the Big XII CCG, but could kill us when trying to get a spot in the MNC with teams like UF vying for the spot. Our best argument to be in the MNC game over UF is that we lost to a one loss Texas team, UF lost to 4 loss (and counting) Ole Miss team (at home).*

*P.S.S.S. Screw the gators, Ole Miss sucks.*

I'm calling a no 3 way tie. Somebody will screw it up. Might be Texas, might be tech, might be us.
