Manuel Johnson - Some thought he reinjured his arm on the reverse, but he didn't. Stoop's said he will play next weekend.

Austin English - High Ankle sprain. Could be back next weekend.

Brody Eldridge - Nothing wrong, will play next week.

I guess it depends on how bad Austin's sprain is. AD's high ankle sprain kept him out like 4 weeks.

Whew. I thought Manny had re-injured that arm for sure!

Bob didn't act like it was that bad.

He said he could be back for A&M.

Auston could be in a coma right now for all we know.

At least, Frank Alexander is back in time in support the Defense and Auston is really really needed in time for OSu and TT with pass rush package.

None of these guys are really needed until Tech. Could be the rest will do them some good.

Thanks CK for report.

We need Auston back - he's part of OUr package.

I would be surprised if Manny is 100% next week. From the replays on his injury it looked liked a severe over-extension. Fortunately, I think we are DEEP on receivers.

Manny left the game with his arm hanging, so he definitely tweaked it. It could have just been from pain and not further injury. I hope he sits out next week and gets a full 3 weeks to heal. He has been extremely consistent this year and the closest we have had to a deep threat. We need him.

Yeah, I've been pretty impressed with what I've seen from Frank so far this year. He's a gamer.

Sooners' English will miss at least three weeks

Oklahoma has lost another one of its top defensive players.

A month after linebacker Ryan Reynolds suffered a season-ending knee injury, defensive end Auston English has been lost for at least three weeks, coach Bob Stoops said Monday morning on the Big 12 football coaches' teleconference.

English sprained his knee during the third quarter of Saturday night's win over Nebraska, and "we're thinking his injury is going to be maybe three weeks."

Oklahoma has three games remaining, starting on Saturday at Texas A&M. After an off week, OU plays second-ranked Texas Tech on Nov. 22 and closes the season Nov. 29 at eighth-ranked Oklahoma State.

Stoops didn't say if English would be available to play against Oklahoma State but left the impression that English wouldn't be back.

"We're disappointed for Auston of course," Stoops said. "He's been a great leader for us. Tough player. Excellent player."

Freshman Frank Alexander will replace English in the lineup, and Stoops said Alexander already has been playing well and was one of OU's players of the game against Nebraska.

"Frank has played great for us," Stoops said.

Alexander missed five games with an injury suffered during a late-night altercation at a party Aug. 31. He was slashed in the arm and required hospitalization for a cut that severed muscle.
