In Arcadia...

Well...they didn't have the Ginger Ale I was looking for but the guy knew what and why I was looking for it.

Anyway...it's a cool place to visit. We didn't have time to try the food but the cooler area where most of the sodas are kept was slammed with folks the entire time. Also...looks like lots of folks ride their bikes there for a weekend cruise. We got off at the Wellston Exit and went through Luther to Arcadia. Don't speed through Luther like we did. My buddy got a ticket from the Local Peace Officer (?). Also looked like there were a couple of Biker Bars along the way too. Kind of reminded me of that Movie "Wild Hogs" for awhile. :D

Glad I went there. I got a six-pack of different Root Beers since I couldn't find the Blenheims. I'm drinking a Route 66 Root Beer right now. I think I'm going to go back and buy another different Root Beers until I figure out my Favorite. Also...I need to put it on the list of places to ride the Bike come spring or if we get another weekend like this one.

Just thought I'd share my 1st experience to Pops.

I'll be looking forward to going back there.

I also want to visit the Round Barn in Arcadia next time.

I bought a Round Barn Root Beer too. I will post what I think about it when I get to it.

That is all....

That stuff is good. I'm not sure about the Extra Hot, though. I kind of like it, but I don't know if I like a drink to be that spicy.

I did finally get to Caz'z in Downtown Tulsa and ordered the CFS there.

Very good food. The Steak was good size and pretty good. It wasn't the best I've ever had...but I'd order it again. The cole slaw they make is a little spicy...definitely different. I'd order that again too.

I'll try Pop's CFS next time we go there then.

Thanks Czar.

We went there last February, cool place at night with the lighting.
I had the CFS with an Abita root beer, it was pretty good.

There will be some other stuff pop up on 66 soon, the owner of Performance Cycle Triumph/Suzuki (http://www.performancecycleokc.com/) in OKC has bought a place on 66 in Warwick and wants to convert it into a motorcycle museum, he has over a 100 restored/original motorcycles right now to put in there.

The thread inspired me today, so I took the fam up there for lunch.

The CFS was really good. My son liked the chicken tenders. The wife had a Stephen's black cherry, the son an Avery's orange soda, and I had the Boylan's Natural Cane Cola.

The Boylan's tasted better on ice than straight, imo.

My wife got a bunch of pix of the Round Barn too.

Had lunch there w/ my dad today. DANG they're busy on weekends. Not too quick w/ the food either, but it was quite tasty.

Dublin Dr. Pepper *drools*

Hopefully GHP approves of the soda selection i sent back w/ my dad for him. He said "Surprise me." heh

I love the Rat Bastard Root Beer. Not only does it have a cool name, but it is good too.
Their slogan is "Taste's like a son of a bitch."

Also--Henry Weinhard's Orange Cream Soda.

Took my Son to Pop's after the Tulsa game and last night...took the Daughter. Had the Onion Burger. It was OK. Not the best burger I've ever had....but the shakes...they rock. Not the best I've ever had...but it's hard to find places that want to spend the time and the good ingrediants to make a good shake. Pop's does a decent job on them IMO. anyway...we watched the whorn game and then trekd Home to Tulsa. We bought two 6 packs of rootbeer and some other stuff the Daughter wanted. Good Times.
