You could not be more wrong. Voting for McCain or Obama in the state of Texas or any other state that is totally secure and in no way a battleground state is the epitome of throwing your vote away. Your vote will have absolutely no effect on the race whatsoever. Now, if you lived in a battleground state then you would be right. Texas is not in play.

EVERY vote for Bob Barr or any other third party candidate is highly valuable and definitely counts. It helps that party retain ballot access in future elections, it can help them receive Federal matching funds, and it helps build a base of support for that third party's candidate to get invited to the next Presidential debate in 4 years.

You have a LOT more impact by voting 3rd party in a safe state than you do the major parties.

They need to friggin learn how to market themselves and if they really want a shot they need to start Wed. With the web today htey can get tons of milage for free. They need to make a contract with America so to speak. and lay it out and drive it home. Their not organized enough to do that. Wish they were tho.
