Because we telegraph it and don't get creative with it. We just send one or two extra guys up the middle every time we blitz. No stunts, no corner blitzes, no zone blitzes, just extra guys. After 2-3 times, it pretty much becomes ineffective the rest of the game.

Our blitz is the suk. We just can't get to the QB with it. It never fails our D just can't maintain it's intensity for 4 quarters. I don't know what the problem is, but they always seem to lay-down when we get a lead and expect everyone else to make the plays and opposing offenses start gashing us, and it's going to come back and bite us the last 2 games unless we get lucky with TOs in the 1st quarter like we did tonight. I just don't understand it. Even up 49 now 56 to 21, Bob and BV should be giving our defensive players hell and challenging them to not let Nebraska score again.
