Casey Dick is currently finding the holes in Tulsa's pass defense, Woo Pig Sooie has it inside TU's 15.
Sweet, another shootout for one of my favorite teams. :D

ESPN Gameplan/ESPN 360. I'm surprised CBS College Sports didn't pick this one up.
TD Arkansas, and they lead 7-0. Tulsa's turn. :D
Demetrius Johnson only got 15 yards on the ensuing kickoff return, and David Johnson has been swarmed under and sacked on the first two plays. Uh oh.
And of course, the homer Arkansas announcers waste no time in breaking out a smug "Welcome to the SEC!"
A.J. Whitmore can't even get back to the line of scrimmage out of the Wildcat package. Tulsa loses yards on all three plays and goes three-and-out on their first drive. Arkansas ball at their own 42.
Arkansas gets a big gain on a catch and run by the RB, and they're back inside the Tulsa red zone. Time out, 'Cane.
And again, the Arkie announcers break out the "SEC ZOMG" crap.

Heh, last time I checked, Sagarin had the SEC as the 4th best conference this year behind the Big 12, Big Ten, and ACC, in that order.
TU, after realizing that they're allowed to defend and tackle the far superior SEC players, bow up and hold Arkie to a field goal. Hogs lead 10-0 with 5:57 left in the first.
After our first three and out, Gus is re-thinking the strategy and runs Tarrion Adams on the first play. Second down is an incompletion by David Johnson.
Johnson completes a pass under heavy pressure, but two yards short of the sticks. Punt #2 upcoming for Tulsa.
On 3rd and 9 from their own 36, Arkansas gets the first down by the nose of the football. Tulsa needs a stop...badly.
Another 20+ yard gain by Pig. I hate to say it, but right now Tulsa looks grossly overmatched. :(
Timeout, Tulsa.
Touchdown, Arkansas.
17-0 with 2:22 in the first. If Tulsa's offense can't get on track this upcoming drive, it's gonna get ugly real quick.
Tulsa's inability to advance the kickoff return beyond the 20 is crippling their offense. Meh.

:O Well, it probably closer for a lot of Tulsans than it is for Razorback fans to Fayetteville... especially in their mind during this crappy Ark season :D
Charles Davis just made a great play on a tipped ball to get a big interception for TU. 'Cane gets the ball at the Arkansas 44, pending review...
And the SEC replay officials bail out the Razorbacks by overturning the play. The 'Cane will get the ball anyway after a punt, but they'll still lose yardarge on the call. :mad:
After the punt, TU has the ball at their own 34. Arkansas gained about 22 yards on that replay reversal. F*ckers. :mad:
Tulsa has a nice drive going. The no-huddle is in rhythm and they've got a first down at the Arkie 25.
Hmmm...the refs are allowing the DB's to employ, shall we say, physical and early coverage on TU's receivers.
Tarrion Adams loses yards on a handoff, and then on 3rd and 17 Johnson throws incomplete into the end zone. Trae Johnson gets called for offensive pass interference and for some reason, Arkansas takes the penalty. 3rd down again.

Well, sh*t. 3rd and 32, Johnson flipped a shovel pass to Tarrion Adams who promptly fumbled after getting down to the Arkansas 20. Arkie dodges the bullet and gets the ball back with 11:26 left in the first half.
The breaks seem to all be going in Arkie's favor early. :mad:

Tulsa nearly blocks the punt, but instead will have the ball on their own 33 with 9:10 left in the second.

And then Paul Tracy misses the extra point to kill my buzz. 17-13 Arkansas with 8:09 left in the half.

On 3rd and 6, Arkie goes back to the fullback on the drag route for a big gain, then he fumbles at the end only for it to roll out of bounds. Again, break for Arkansas.
Arkie gets a first down on a catch and run, then we tack on some yardage with a facemask. First and goal from the 6.
TU stuffs the SEC's leading rusher on first down for a loss, second and goal.
Arkie gets a couple of yards down to the five, third and goal.
Fade to the corner sails long, now it's fourth and goal and Arkie will try a field goal....good.

ESPN Gamebreaking update: MSU vs. UW ends in 44 yd fg.... it is good for Sparty. MSU leads 25-24 with 7 seconds left. Badgers be doomed.
After two short runs by Courtney Tennial and David Johnson, Johnson hits Charles Clay for a touchdown. Extra point is good, and now we're tied at 20 with 3:08 left before halftime.
Tulsa gets the ball to start the second half, BTW. :D

And once again, the Golden Hurricane kicking game kills my buzz with a screw-up, this time a kickoff out of bounds. Arkie ball from their own 40. Bah.

Arkie has a 2nd and 1 at the Tulsa 5. TU calls their last timeout with 1:14 left. I say let 'em score on this play, then that way we'll have a minute left after the kickoff return...enough time to score twice. :D
TU gets a sack on an attempt at a play-action pass, second and goal from the 9.
TU almost gets another sack, but Dick manages to flop out and get down to the 5. Third and goal.
Incomplete pass! Fouth and goal, and Arkie lines up for another field goal attempt...good.

Trickeration on third down gets intercepted, plus a facemask on the Arkie player that picked the pass off. Arkie ball at with 12:40 left in the third.

I'm guessing having 1 less day to prep for Arkie isn't helping them.
After a run for no gain, Johnson finds Slick Shelley on second down but Arkie breaks it up with a hard hit. Third down 13.
Johnson tried to hit Shelley again, and again it was broken up. They're going for it on fourth down...a yard short. Another awesome SEC mark gives Arkie the ball back.
They're reviewing the spot. The Arkie announcers had to amend the rule from "where the ball is when he steps out" to "oh, no, I mean where he steps out" once they realized the ball was at the first down marker when the TU player stepped out.
We're still gonna get f*cked on this call, though. :mad:
"After the review, Tulsa can go f*ck themselves. We're the SEC. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, DOGGIES!!!!!!"
Anger.
Arkie gets a 34 yard gain on first down, down to the Tulsa 35.
D.J. Williams makes another catch, comes out of the pile and pops a TU player in the face. SEC ref does nothing.

TU gets a sack. SEC ref marks it as a 9 yard loss instead of the 10 yards it was.
Pig announcer is now complaining about the spot after TU stuffs their back on 3rd down. Arkie goes for it on 4th down and doesn't get it. SEC ref tries, but can't scoot the spot up far enough.
Tulsa ball.
Tarrion Adams with a pair of runs to get Tulsa out past their 30. first down.
Johnson and Adams run a little option, gain to the 39. Second down.

I love Gus Malzahn. I think he's aweome, and this offense is exciting. But the simple fact of the matter is, we lost this game because every time, EVERY SINGLE TIME we had something going, we'd f*ck it up by getting fancy.

I'm still dammed proud of this team. Falling behind 17-0, having every 50/50 call go against them, three turnovers, on the road, and they fight back and have a chance to tie it up at the end? This is the sort of game that Tulsa used to fold up the tents and lose big.
14-0 was a lofty goal, and I truly believed in my heart that this team could do it. This loss hurts, but you know what? 13-1 doesn't sound too bad either. GO 'CANE!

Your OC got fancy is right- Tulsa was the better team... First and Goal on the 2 and they are in shotgun - bad snap. BS call period they were gashing them with the run.
2nd and 2 and they run two wild cat plays back to back that don't work. Makes me want to puke on that Highschool hack...
Well, we wouldn't even be here if it weren't for that "highschool hack", so I'm not gonna give up on him entirely. But yeah, there was a lot of self-stoppage in that game for the 'Cane.
Not to sound like Kejuan Jones or anything, but if we'd have just kept running the ball (from our normal formation) on that last drive, we'd have tied it up. :D
