It seems that the whole world is thrilled with Obama being our President.

One interesting tid bit I noticed was the former democracy know as venezuala
has alot more red than other parts of the world. Maybe its because they know what it is to lose alot of freedoms but I could be wrong.

Does this not scare anyone at all? The rest of the world, including our enemies want this guy?? Say goodbye to being the most powerful nation in the world. Maybe we could spread the wealth of power to other countries...how about Iran or Mexico or North Korea...

I'm just finishing the Master's Degree. However, in my research methods class, I was given the impression that there needs to be a larger sample to provide more generalizability.

I'd be suspicious of statistics using only 18 Afghans or 1 citizen of the Congo or the Cook Islands.

People freaking out that Obama is well received in the rest of the world make me laugh. It's like if we don't have a president reviled throughout the world we are doing something wrong. If the world thinks our president has an IQ higher than a jar of mayonnaise, he is the wrong guy.

Just a quick question, why is it that so many republicans hate the rest of the world? I mean, I remember hearing before we went into Iraq that we had a coalition of the willing, and that legitimized our going into Iraq. But now it seems that if US policy lines up with that of any other nations, America is losing it's freedoms.

I mean, it's like Palin the other day saying we should stop doing research with fruit flies. One of her reasons? Some of this research was being done ”in Paris, France”. In her own words, ”I kid you not”

Sometimes being in line with the rest of the world can be a good thing. Sometimes, not being condescending pricks to the rest of the world can actually help make gains in advancing US policy world wide. But hey, the last eight years of having a guy in charge the world looks down on has really helped bolster our standing in the world.

You mean another war, right? You know we are in two right now. Three if you include terror, and four if you include drugs.

No, we're in one war right now, the GWOT, albeit on two fronts.

Those polls may not be scientific, but I have a feeling that they aren't that far off reality.

Let's see - one is campaigning on Americans' fears and insecurities and the other campaigning on hope and change.

One's campaign slogan is "America First" and the other's slogan is "Change."

Pretty much, it should be black and white for most non-Americans.

I think the rest of the World are afraid at how good we are at killing without using Nukes.

It impressed the hell out of me what we we did in Iraq.

If the rest of the World sees a guy that wants us to calm down...bring our Troops Home and begin to negotiate a World Peace...and that's what they truly believe...It doesn't scare me.

What scares me is that the Gov. of Alaska might be out shopping for an outfit that makes her look powerful yet sexy as the next Commander in Chief.

$150,000.00 ain't a bad start on a wardrobe.

It's not Imelda Marcos standards but it's a good start...:D

Yeah, I'm sure the world is thinking "Wow, hope and change. Why hasn't anyone ever run for office on that platform before? BRILLIANT!"
