I'm firmly in the World Book camp. I read the **** out of the set we had at home.

I had to check wikipedia to make sure I knew what an encyclopedia is.

No wonder I did not get far in life. Funken Wagnel was always my source in High School. Mom, would get one at the IGA when she spent more than $20.00 on groceries. We were missing a few. Mom didn't always have $20.00 bucks to spend. So we missed a few.:(

Oh well, I have wikipedia , Nothing but the best for this household

Heh. The Funken Wagonalls. That's what we had too. My dad always thought it was funny to tell us to check our funkin' Wagonalls when we'd ask him some homework question. It's all about wikipedia these days though.

I vote Encyclopaedia Galactica.

I prefer the Hitchhiker's Guide.

It's slightly cheaper.

Well yes, but this is a poll about encyclopedias, not guidebooks.

Oh yeah, Greeks and Romans and Dinosaurs. Vikings sometimes too.

Encyclopedia Brittanica was the best gift ever as a kid three decades before the internet age.
