Post the polls as they come out here. Will the Pokes really jump us? Will anyone jump us? Who will jump us? Anyone? Buehler?

weird, how did missouri drop 5 spots in the AP poll when they shutout Colorado? By that drop in the poll, you would have thought they lost. Weird

Top 10 looks about right except UGA should be ahead of USC and Fla. IMO

Wow...the Cowgirls were unjustly punished in the Coaches' version.

Yeah, I can tell you EXACTLY what happened there. All across the nation, coaches (who don't even watch games, we're lucky if they check scores rather than just checking who won or lost) all said, simultaneously, "Oh, thank God, those arseclowns finally lost so we can drop 'em. How the heck did it take this long?"

When perennial loser teams overperform and then finally lose, they usually get spanked for it. Nobody wanted the pokes to be as high as they were, and I'm a bit surprised the AP didn't spank them the same way (guess too many sportswriters actually had to watch the game and knew they played Tejas close).

No, because Tulsa was ranked in both last week. It still hasn't come out yet.

Good logic. It's a shame the AP poll isn't utilized as it seems to more accurately reflect reality- for many of the reasons you have surmised.

Damn, that's right... I wish the "updated" notation (as cited on that presentation) reflected a true poll update!

The same thing would have happened to OU in 2000 if we had lost to anyone at any time. The polls only put OU at No. 1 after awhile because they had to, much like they "had to" put Ohio State in the championship game because everyone else lost twice or more (or was a mid-major).

If there was less "had to's" and more "deserve to's" in polls, it might not seem as fair to the up-and-coming teams. However, look at who's at the top of the polls - Texas, Alabama, Penn State, Oklahoma, USC and Florida - traditional winning teams. Oklahoma State, with apologies to our little sister school, has to see that they do not belong in that list of schools when it comes to football, much like they would argue that nobody comes close to them when it comes to wrestling.

 I don't think that's current. It's an imposter poll posing as a new one but is actually from last week! Kind of Okie State pretending they're us as shown below!

we need to worry about beating tech and osu, because those teams will dominate us if we dont get our stuff together. the worst that can happen if we do that is play in a bcs game.

If it were in East Lansing, maybe... their next game at Iowa is the only chance of them losing until the BCS title game.
