Haven't seen this posted here yet, but I just saw it on SoonerStats...

OU Defense Gives up 30+ Points in 3rd Straight Game

In the last three games, OU has given up 30 or more points (2-1 record in those games). That has happened only two other times: 1996 (0-3) and 1997 (0-3).

Thoughts?

Luckily we scored more points in each game of these three than those Two OU teams did in all six combined ;)

Heck, we might have had a few quarters where we scored more than in those other 6 combined games.

So, are you saying you are surprised?? Cause I'm not. We've played quality opponents, Texas, Kansas and K-state. With our D, 30 or more is normal.

technically, OU's defense has allowed 35+ points the last three games.

Not surprised, 'cause this defense is like a sieve...just edgy that a comparison has been drawn between this defense, and anything from the Blake Error.

Kansas didn't score 35 points.

Kansas only scored 31.

...with a low octane defensive coordinator. :D

Plus Kansas scored their last TD with less than a minute left after they were trailing 45-24. I don't see how that is a big deal.

IS THAT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS??? We've been putting Premium in Brent Venables everytime we take him to get filled up?? ;)

He must have a leak or something in his tank.

This is funny mostly because any comparison to Blake is asinine. Seriously does the Blake team cause 5 turnovers? Until we get 100 yards in penalties for 12 to 14 men on the field repeatedly then I will never compare Venables to Blake haha

I would agree with the first one, but not the other two; KState sucks, and Tech held KU in check today

Reminds me of 2003... high potency offense... but we need a defense to seal the deal. Eventually, opponents will find a way to shut us down and then where will be? Looked like Kansas State figured that out in the second half yesterday.

Back to basics for the defense in practice starting on Monday.
