NORMAN, Okla. -- ESPN has picked up the Oklahoma-Nebraska game on Nov. 1. Kickoff time for the contest has been announced earlier for 7 p.m.

It will be the second appearance of the season for Oklahoma on ESPN. The Sooners' victory at Washington also aired on the cable network.

Both Oklahoma and Nebraska are coming off victories. The Sooner rolled over Kansas State at Manhattan, 58-35, while Nebraska staved off a pesky Baylor team at Lincoln, 32-20.

This game will mark the first meeting between Bob Stoops and fellow Youngstown, Ohio native Bo Pelini, who is in his first season as the Cornhusker helm. Pelini was on Oklahoma's staff as co-defensive coordinator under Stoops in 2004.

Festivities surrounding the OU-NU game will include a reunion of the 1971 Game of the Century. Coaches and players from both teams will be on hand for a Friday evening function then will be introduced at the game.

I think you're giving too much credit to either Nebraska's offense or defense, but I'm not sure which one.

Probably the offense. NU just isn't that explosive but can string together drives pretty well at this point in the season. Which protects a limited defense.

We will break you.

With our offense, though, not our defense.....it's pretty cuddly.

I wonder where Todd Blackledge will be eating?

They'll probably do the Cocktail Party. It's been, what, four weeks since they did an SEC game? They're probably getting the shakes.

Herbstreit said yesterday they're going to Lubbock. I actually feel a little sorry for them.

That was even before the SWC refs came into the conference to buttf*ck us.Those boys have moved officiating to a whole nother level! I think they watched ESPN classic replays of the '71 game, and realized what they could get away with.

Since the game's going to be ESPN's Saturday night game, will the announcing tandem of Mike Patrick and Todd Blackledge be involved. And more importantly, which Norman eatery is Blackledge going for his "Taste of the Town" segment?
