Freakin SUCK!! Dave Lapham is quickly becoming my least favorite and what I would consider the dumbest announcer in the history of football. After a false start on OU he actually felt he had to say the following, "You can't simulate the snap of the ball if you are offense. When you are in a 3-point of 2-point stance you can't simulate the snap to draw the defense offsides." Oh please tell me more oh rules guru of football.:rolleyes:
Then during halftime the one guy actually said that SC was the best one loss team in the country. Yeah ask Oregon State about that. MORONS!!:eek:

You know, in the midst of all that announcing sucktitude, there's actually ONE redeeming quality I find in that crew. I love love love listening to the play-by-play guy (not Lapham (sp?), not Knox, but the other guy...) when a HUGE play for a TD is made (a la BBS "15, 10, 5 TOUCHDOWN OKLAHOMA!). I love his energy and enthusaism, and I think that comes through the best on LASooner's vids. For some reason, you isolate that, put a good music bed under it, and it's usually my favorite announcing on the whole reel.

Just thought I'd throw that out there. They still suck hardcore, but the glass is maybe 1/16 full.

Plus the camera work is subpar....

trouble following the ball on long passes and lots of missed plays because they do not get back to the onfield action fast enough from their graphics and other bs

Who was the color analyst today? I think Ron Franklin did the PbP and Jim Knox was on the field, but was the analyst in the booth with Franklin Ed Cunningham or Jim Lapham. Specifically who is the yapper color analyst? I get them mix up. thx.

I didn't like Lapham when he was doing NFL games, and I don't like the guy they have sitting with the camera. Fox Sports does such a great job on NFL games, but they absolutely suck on college games - almost like it's two completely different organizations.

My wife doesn't really pay attention to the announcers and get into the analysis; she just watches the Sooners. Today, she told me to push the mute and I did gladly. They are the worst.
