He has definitely improved in away games, although his Heisman stock will plummet, unless McCoy and others have an off night. 13-31 255 yards 3 TDs, is good, but not great. Bottom line is we are winning, though. I'm sure any of us would gladly go back to last year and take a one point win at Colorado. Hopefully we'll keep on winning, no matter what the stats look like.

Officiating wasn't very good but they did let them play.

The good thing is the Officiating didn't affect the outcome of the game today like it did when we played texas.

We set a scoring record in the 1st half and I really thought Bob would work on getting the team up and lay some more on in the 2nd half but he didn't.

Actually, the defense outplayed the offense in the second half, which seems a little odd. They only gave up 7 points. Like the offense, a complete turnaround after the half.

At this point, we get grandfathered into the top 10 every preseason no matter how many glaring holes we have. Just wait, we'll finish this season 11-2 or 10-3, lose the bulk of our o-line to graduation along with a bunch of other key players, and we'll still start 2009 in the Top 10 or 5.

Everyone, from coaches to fans and every last player, needs to understand that we are not as good as we think we are. We're not getting better every week especially on defense and special teams, and KW's play calling is brilliant on some series and then just flat goes in the dumper on others, but offense is not the problem.
We're not well coached on the defensive side of the ball and our DBs are not in position and when they're in position, they not making plays on the ball especially the deep ball. Our blitzes are too easily picked up and not disguised very well. I can't fault the effort of our players, but something is not meshing on our defensive coaching staff to get our players improving every week. It's just not happening. On special teams when we get up by a couple of scores, it's clear that they let up and expect someone else to make the play, then when our opponents break one and the coaches chew on their azz, they play pretty well. It's just not a quality effort on every play for some reason.

There were a lot of short plays that became long plays because our players lack discipline. It seems like our defense doesn't care about making good stops because "our offense will get it back for us". Well, all you have to do is flash back to the Texas game to see what happens with that mindset if the offense can't get it back.
