How do you figure your computer poll anyway?

That actually looks like the way I would rank them. Therefore, good jorb!

Penn State at 13? I know that they haven't played anyone great yet but that is way too low. I don't see putting Pitt, Wake, Utah ahead of them or even a 2-loss Mizzou team. How can an unranked 4-2 Wake team be 10th?

The criteria I used:

Winning Percentage:
Used winning percentage instead of giving points for each win. (something I may change)

SOS Average of:
Anderson & Hester
Colley Matrix
Massey Ratings
Sagarin Ratings
The average is multiplied by -0.04
This is negative, so the higher average SOS rankings would be lower.

Quality of wins:
Deducted for play a Non-FBS team.
Added for winning against a current AP Top 25 team.

Quality of losses:
Deducted big amount for losing to a Non-FBS team.
Added a small amount for losing to a current AP top 25 team.
Each loss counted as a 1 point deduction to start with.

Got the Subtotal.

Then multipled by a number to get the final total.

1st edition...so some tweaks will be and are being done already.

Got any suggestions, let me know.

If your program can predict winners/losers (straight up not vs the spread) say 70%+ you got a keeper.

my computer poll has the top 5 like this

1.Texas
2. Okie State
3. Alabama
4. Oklahoma
5. Penn State

Here is mine works

I logged onto SF and typed those teams into a thread.

I ranked these teams based on where I feel they should be ranked right now.
OSU will drop out of top 5 after today though I believe. But so should Penn State and Possibly Alabama.
Heck so could Oklahoma if K-state gets to a couple of punts
