Auburn 3
WVU 0
1st 2:00

Auburn drives 83 yds for FG, helped by a completely horrendous spot sustaining their drive.

Edit: SEC officials

running the ball like they are supposed to, and ripping WV on ESPN now. They look like an entirely different team! Let's see if it holds through four quarters.

Its good old Auburn like I remember. Look out Bama! You won't beat these guys the way they're playing tonight by turning in only one good half.

17-3

9:15 in the 2nd

WVU has no run defense at this point. Aub onside kick works, but no points.

Only a 7 point game

They also pulled off the fake kick-off that OU attempted last year against WV.

It sure looks good when the ball travels the 10 yards. :(

Auburn has had a little help from the officials ... catch for a 1st down that wasn't (a catch), run for a 1st down that wasn't, etc.

17-10

Not exactly a defensive struggle for the prototype SEC defensive team.

this would get alot more play in the fball forum.

both teams aren't very good. i figured west virginia was a little worse than aubbie but i wasn't willing to bet on it.

I suppose I'm a literalist. This isn't Sooners Football.

I bet on WVU, but not much.

Auburn comes out throwing after running it down the H'billies throats all the first half.

Edit: Hey! I moved it...that was cool!

NCAA footbal officials have got to be the biggest bunch of slimeballs ... call them like they (want to) see 'em.

Auburn takes over 10 minutes off the clock on its 1st drive ... that'll most likely keep the game under 4 hours.;)

read a pretty interesting article about Tony Franklin today. didn't exactly paint the most glowing picture of Tuberville and the "culture" at Auburn.

Slippery bastard!

WVU 27
SEC 17

WVU had to beat the Buffs in OT! Impressive showing SEC.

Yeah, that was low rent.

Why would you take a job with TT now, if offered?

Tuberware is toast at Auburn. 4 years removed from winning the peoples championship

Johnny Utah
10/23/2008, 09:28 PM
How much do you all think it's really TT and not a world of pressure from the fan base, boosters, etc. TT appears to basically be a good guy (goes to visit the troops in Iraq) on the surface, so IDK.

TD WV on the "vaunted" Auburn D ... score now 34 - 17.

Gawd, the espn lovefest for PonyBoy is sickening.

Saw/heard it ... at least he's accomplishing something (beating OU, passing efficiency, potentially winning out in a tough coference, etc.). It could be worse (continued lovefest with Tebo, Sanchez, etc.)

But it is the systematic way espn talking heads come out of production meetings where they have decided who the winner is going to be, week to week...without ANY discussion.

All for ratings...this weekend and on through the BCS game. Promote the marquis QB.

I know how this sounds, but if we had won in Dallas, Sam would by far be the greatest QB EVAR to play NCAA football....that wouldn't be much better, although more truthful.:P

I'll be interested to see if the media picks up on the fact that maybe the SEC offenses are making the defenses look good. I think I read an article where Muschamp was defending Texas' D compared to the SEC D by saying the offenses in the SEC aren't exactly lighting it up or something to that effect. Just curious to see if the media says anything since they have been touting them all year long.

The media will say the opposite, but screw 'em.

Am I the only one who hopes Tuberville resurfaces in the Big XII so we can get our yearly shot at him? The sideline shots during an Auburn meltdown are priceless.
