excel help please?

i'm trying to manipulate autoshapes on a spreadsheet. the autoshapes only want to stay in a single column. the spreadsheet won't let me just use the arrows on the keyboard to nudge it just a little bit. the autoshape jumps over into the next column. does anyone know how to defeat this problem?

what i did to correct the problem was close out the s/s and reopen it. guess it was a quirk. thanks for the response, howzit.
