I would say a competition to cover an agreed upon distance in the shortest possible time along an agreed upon course with agreed upon ground rules.

Look no further than the last lap, from turn 4 on....hands down the best ending to a Nascar race other than Darlingtons spring race in 2003 i've EVAR watched.


PERIOD.

Maybe, maybe...the first one I watched, the 1979 Daytona 500 with Petty winning and Cale/Donnie/Bobby duking it out in the infield.
