I will go with the obvious choice and pick AC/DC with Men at Work and INXS within shouting distance.

No I haven't, but I did say "one of the greatest".

You forgot the Bee Gee's. They were huge in their day, and despite the critical role they played in the rise of the disco genre, those three brothers sang with the tightest three-part harmony ever recorded.

Give a listen to "How Can a Loser Ever Win" or "Massachusetts."

Umm...weren't they from the Isle of Man?

edit: disregard sir, I didn't know they emigrated to Oz in the late 50's

As I recall, they were British born, but they immigrated to Oz with their fam as kids. At any rate, they hit the pop music scene from Australia.

AC/DC should be clearcut on this one, regardless of your opinion (I don't think that makes sense).

I was watching their concert in Madrid from I believe 98 and it was amazing. It's nuts how much Angus can take over an audience, plus any dude that can wail on a solo while literally running full speed should automatically be voted greatest Aussie ever.

RUSH LIMBAUGH is my clone!

BeeGees #1, then a tie with Little River Band and Men at Work.

4. INXS: listen like thieves and shoobah are still good ones.

The poll doesn't ask for the most popular Aussie music act, or the best Aussie music act. In this case, for me at least, AC/DC is not my favorite of all the choices. And I love AC/DC as much as the next guy.

How can you leave Crowded House off the list? Just like The Nixons are from Oklahoma but claim Dallas as their base, Crowded House was mostly from New Zealand but claimed Melbourne as home...

AC/DC = the most overrated band ever lead by a fudge packer

Crowded House isn't even as good as Orchestral Maneouvers in the Dark hence not on the list.
