1. He just uses an algorithm that he developed years ago and plugs in the results of games. The rankings have nothing to do with whose "jock he's sucking on".
2. The ELO Chess ratings are the ones used by the BCS - USC is 10th in that scoring.

That may be true but his algae-rhythm thingy is ****ed. There isn't a formula made that can use any kind of logical or mathematical data that elevates that suc team into the lofty position he has them in.

They lost to Oregon State. They have beated azz teams. How can you sugar coat that into a number 2 ranking? (last week they were no 1)

tOSU cannot carry that much weight. They just can't.

OU has played and beaten two teams in the top 25 and lost to the #1 by a relatively slim margin. Penn State is undefeated.

Since suc just whalloped skanky WSU, when they destroy the winless Huskies I suppose Saggy will just give 'em teh Crystal Ball.

While I am no means a big fan of USC, the beauty of the computers is that they remove all emotion and bias from their results (for example, the blind, irrational rage that most people here have toward USC for some reason), and the rankings are based purely on a pre-determined mathematical formula. Also, as KCMO stated, they are actually TENTH in this poll. Please consider this before you all send Mr. Sagarin a jihad of hate mail, threatening to kill his children and family pets, if he doesn't put OU ahead of USC immediately.

You just did. It's mostly because Oregon State's only losses are to undefeated Penn State and Utah. Also, Ohio State has only 1 loss right now. Lastly, the formula Sagarin uses for teh BCS has USC 10th.

USC will probably continue to drop in the computer rankings as the continue through the PAC10 schedule...e.g. They'll take the same hit our SOS has when the play Washington.
