I say rest him until the home stretch.

I say we should be counting out blessings that he isn't out for the season. Anyone see the replay? IT WAS BAD.......I thought for sure it was broken

What are you considering "the home stretch"? All the games after K-State are in November. That seems like the home stretch to me.

Texas Tech and Oklahoma State.

I'm shocked that his OU career isn't over. He can take off until TTU if he wants to. Cheney can handle it until then although I love seeing Manny out there. He's having a fantastic year.

I thought for sure his arm had fallen off after seeing that replay.

Yeah we have 3 games that we should be able to win without him...then a bye week..

so i say go ahead and let him rest up and be 100% and ready to go against tech..

and chaney played great last week so i think we will be fine without him if he is out for the next few weeks

We should be able to win these next 3 games without him. But we will need everybody for Tech and state

How did Quentin Chaney all of a sudden get good? Jay Norvell?

He was good last year.

Chaney was good last year and came up with a few big catches in the 4th in the 07 Fiesta when no one else stepped up. With all of the griping and complaining about the coaching staff, the EXCELLENT job Jay Norvell has done with the receivers is being lost in that. l just hope he sticks around for a few years to work with the young guys we have coming up.

Getting more opportunities.

I've pretty much expected him to be done for the season, so if we get him back for the last couple of games I'm happy with that. By all means, take a few weeks, recuperate, and come back 100%.

Manny took a bad one there... I'm amazed that his arm wasn't broken. Glad he may be able to come back later. I agree... let him rest up now and be ready for the bigger/closer games. Plenty of other receivers who have stepped up in his place and will continue to do so.

Manny is thinking about money! The "slime-lizard" Kiper said earlier that he was pro prospect. You dont think manny is thinking about that?

Hell, he's a senior. Yes it seems like his time here's been short and this is the year he really started to come out of his shell, but it isn't just about the money, it's about him leaving OU this year, for the pros, for the graduation, or just for the loss of eligibility. He's gone, folks. He might as well play if he can, because each game he sits out is one less game he gets to play in an OU uniform before the end of his OU career.

Definitely if he is ready to come back against Nebraska let him play... He has a legit chance at 1000 yards and that would get him drafted.

I also think playing - at least 50% of his snaps in 2 of the next three games would keep him sharp... I bet Manny wants to play against Nebraska
