Beats the hell out of 6th. This will help OUr BCS ranking as well, especially since the AP is not included in the formula.

Finally Tulsa with some much deserved love....

Well hell, if only we'd have known that all we had to do to get ranked was score 77, we'd have started doing it weeks ago. :D

Did TU run up the score?

Kind of suprised Missouri came in as high as they did. But mabe everybody on the list, except us, would get blasted as bad as Mizzou did in Austin.

Did TU run up the score?

Not really, no. It was tied at 28 after one quarter, then TU put them away during the second and third quarters. If we'd wanted to run up the score, we probably could have scored 90 or 100.

It was kind of like the '03 OU/A&M game, only with the Aggies getting five scores. :D

USC being ranked ahead of OU is the biggest joke of the day. OU loses a close game to the #1 team in country and USC loses to a 3 loss team that got wacked by the Penn State. Ridiculous!!!

What's even worse is how much the computers love anyone that has played Oregon State.

Ok, let's tee hee at the polls for a moment or two before going all-out to bash Kansas State and the dream season they ruined five years ago:

Northwestern is ranked No. 24 in the Coaches (26th in AP). Northwestern is the Baylor of the Big 10, to give you a slight comparison.
Minnesota is ranked No. 25 in both polls. Minnesota is the Iowa State of the Big 10.
Ball State, which has seen its first rankings in school history, is now No. 20/22 in the polls.

They won't because USC is the only team to beat Ohio State this season.

I would like to thank TCU again for beating BYU and making us look better.

It is ridiculous. However, my mind won't allow me to process such incongruous results. Therefore, in order to retain sanity I must manufacture an explanation. Here it is.

Oregon State is tied atop the Pac 10 with a 3-1 conference record. California is 2-1. The beavers have beaten USuC and have games versus the other four one-loss Pac 10 teams (the two 'zonas, Cali and Oregon). If they win out they go to the Rose Bowl. The poll is giving USuC the benefit of the doubt by projecting their one loss will have come from the team that is playing in the Rose Bowl, which in the coaches minds, trumps OUr loss to Texas.

That's the best I can do.

Actually it's because they hung 69 on a turrble team.

I agree. We might be 4th or maybe a narrow margin behind USC for 5th. Difference is that apart from Ohio St who they have already played USC has no one left on the schdule that weill help them in the computers. OU has at least 2 future opponents that will help the SOS by winning out.

Honestly as far as the BCS goes we are in as good a position in the rankings as well can possibly be after losing.
