I hate to say it, but Texas running backs are well-coached. Mack, Greg D, and Opie have done a heckuva job. When their RBs get the hand-off, they don't just run up the backs of the OL, they are actually patient and cut to the hole. Also on that 1st drive it looked like a double-trap block. Their OL were crossing all over the place. They got some well-designed running plays and a quality OL to make them work with average running backs who are well-coached. sux.

I'm glad I read your post before I replied. I was about to post the same thing.

Sam is a better QB, and more valuable IMO than McCoy. The difference is Texas has a better D. Sam will put up much better numbers than McCoy, but like a few have pointed out here, his team came out on top. It's stupid, but voters look at that. If Texas wins out, it will be a wasted trip to NY for anyone but McCoy. Unless, of course, his passing starts to slip. As of now, his stats are good, but nothing compared to Bradfords and a few other Big XII QBs.
