Just got word today that her medicine is no longer working and that her Pancreatic Cancer has metastasized to her liver.
She has some water on her lungs and we are trying to make her comfortable.
Good thoughts and prayers would be appreciated.

Heartfelt prayers for your Mom - terminal illness has struck home in my family, also. I know it is very difficult.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and your mom. It is very difficult to go through something like that with someone you love, especially your mom.

Thanks all....
I just now sat down since I 1st posted.
We went over and talked to Mom and Dad.
Dad's hanging in there right now.
Mom looked pretty tired but in good spirits considering.
We got to talk about serious stuff for a bit and then tell some old stories...
The one where I shot my little brother with the pellet gun came up again. :D
Anyway...the Wife and I are putting the final touches on our Tailgate Food for the SoonerFans TG. Hope to see many of you there...for the ones that can't make it...I'll tip a beer for yOU...I know you'd be there if possible...

BOOMER SOONER EVERYBODY !Man, I mistakenly made a comment on Pimp's thing about this. Anyway, I travel about 1/3 of the year in my business and unfortunately, football season is in the heart of it. I've only been to a couple of games in the last 5 years or so (most on the road). Even though I can't make it to the tailgates, as a Sooner Fan I (and I know everyone here agrees with me) really appreciate what you're doing. Given the circumstances in your life, you really are a Trooper! God bless you and your family.

My thoughts are with your mother, you and your family. If there's any way possible to, enjoy the TG and the game today. Obviously football is less important in this case...but maybe it would be a temporary fix to help you keep your spirits up.
So have fun, tip a beer for me, and I'll tip a beer for you and your family at my house while I'm grilling and watching the game here.

ST, I just got back from Bartlesville to attend my mom's memorial service...she died a week ago. Her health had not been good for some time, and we think she died of a major stroke. She went quickly and hopefully, with no pain. I'll keep your mom in my thoughts and prayers, as well as you and your family.

And I'd like to also echo the sentiments of ST. I feel fortunate in that I haven't had a need to lean on everyone here like others have.
But when my dad had his stroke last December (and the docs confirmed it was a mild stroke) and I asked for thoughts and prayers, you all came through.
If only there was a Spek All function on this board.
