You should have been alive to hear a B-52G with eight screaming turbojet engines. Sadly, like me who used to slip the surlies therein, they are boneyarded.

The Central Valley was a booming place at one time, with McClellan, Mather, Castle, Lemoore, Travis, Beale. Now only Beale and Travis are active AF, with NAS Lemoore still busy.
