Somebody wake me up from this nightmare. I guess ruining their perfect season in Stillwater would be nice, but this really sucks.

They were unbearable before, kind of like a cross between **** roaches and gnats. So glad that I am 1k miles from them.

I don't know many/any(?) poke fans either...but if I did they'd deserve to be a bit unbearable this week. The pokes did what they needed to do.

I have found that Whorn fans are better winners the Poke fans.....of course once outside of Austin they tend to get very Aggy-like.

Why does any fan deserve to be unbearable? Why can't fans just be decent people without being jerks?

If they keep winning, it actually helps us. But their win does a number of things:

1) Stops the Booger love
2) Pisses off Booger enough to want to throw for 500 yds. and 6 TDs against UTerus
3) Gives them motivation and confidence to beat UTerus, themsleves

I with yeah there. Personally, smack and all that is only fun before the game. Since OU has yet to play OSU I got no problem with it yet as long as it's related to OU-OSU. OSU fans going on about their good win at Mizzoo is cool too. OSU fans going on about an OU-Tejas game is a bit week though.

Living in Tejas I have a few good friends who are whoren fans. I invited two of them over for the game and we had some banter during the week but after the game it was done. The guy that didn't get invited is the one that called me three times in the fourth quarter and floods my email box when OU is not doing well when playing any other team and has some snide remark afterwards when I see him next. When I say something to him before the game he just says he's not really a sports fan... what a jerk.

I love how the first thing an OSU fan thinks to do after one of the biggest wins in their sad football history is to call an OU fan. Gloating to Pokes doesn't really enter my mind after one of our MANY wins of that caliber.

Definitely.

Congratulate them and tell them they played a hell of a game. They're legit.

Then tell them to plan on another sad holiday weekend come November.

There's nothing you can say to them. Rationality frightens them. Just shade your eyes, nod your head, and they'll eventually walk away. This week will be the topping off to a horrible day.

You can't possibly say something like that and actually have had contact with them in the past couple of years.

I disagree. If we somehow mananged to back our way in the CCG we really needed to be playing an undefeated Missouri team to have any shot to get into the national title game.

He may have been referring to the Pokes running the table until we beat them. We beat an undefeated OSU team and then a one-loss Mizzou team in the CCG and I think we'll be in good shape. Best to not lose period, but if you have to, lose early. Teams above us will lose. :) The problem I see is winning out from here. Probably too late to do any major changes to the defensive schemes.

I really wish I backed a team that could go 6-0 someday. If we're really lucky, maybe we can win the Independence Bowl.

I've already put all my c&c clothes and hats in trash bags and bought a bunch of orange from the Wal-Marts. ;)

For the morons among us, that was a joke!

Now as far as your neighbors calling you, I have a feeling you are probably the one that is usually dumping on them or they wouldn 't feel the need to dump on you the first chance they get.
COngrats to OSUcks, they played a hell of a game and we better be ready for them in stoolwater or we may really be hearing it from the fan base for a while.:(

During the joys and concerns segment someone said the OU fans needed prayers. Funny to watch them have their only bright day in the sun.

Make that 0-4 for the last three seasons, I can't remember if OSU beat them the two seasons prior to that when Mizzou was off the OU schedule.

Exactly, most of the Whorn fans that I know didn't go to the University of I Hate OU (or aTm), they went to UT just like I went to OU and not the University of I Hate Texas. MOST of the OSU people that I knew up there went to the University of I Hate OU and reveled more in OU losses than OSU wins. To me, that is just a very sad existence. I am just glad that I don't have to deal with most of them anymore.

Actually, they were quite the opposite, his words were....

"Dude, it's our state school and I don't celebrate the OU loss anymore than a Tulsa loss...and while I'm loving beating Missouri, y'all shouldn't hang your head low."

"Just don't look for me to cheer for OU when they play us though"

Chris is alright, his wife is...well...aggy. :D

And I don't go running around the yard yelling osu sucks, I reserve that for SUC. ;)

Most Poke fans i know are decent people and i actually have quite a few that i consider friends; we also enjoy to kid each other about our teams which is the way it should be; some fans take it all WAY too seriously

Honestly, I felt Missouri has been ranked a little too generously all season, mostly based on their dismantling of an average Arkansas team last season in the Cotton Bowl. I'm happy with the win, though.

I work with many OSU fans... and over the years I've been guilty of given a hard time after bedlem beating. They went to MO and beat a team that knew all they had to do was beat OSU and they would be #1 in the country. But the aggies made the pays when they needed to and won. I can't stand Orange.. nor will I be a fan... But I will admit I was pulling for them last night..

before he talked trash i told him i was pulling for them tonight then he breaks out the talk after our game and i told him they might win but i don't care either way. he made sure to text me the score after the game. i don't really know the guy and i certainly have never talked to him on the phone.

the thing that bothers me is he's not even really a fan of osu. then he acts like he's been there all along. i asked him when their last conference champ. was and he didn't know.

has this retort been brought up yet?

49-17

That was the last time OU and OSU met. Of course, if the poke calls you a "fairweather fan cheatin' gooner" and reminds you that the game is in Stool, you can then retort this inconvenient truth:

27-21

Ah, but wait! Isn't this year different because OSU is ranked in addition to OU, you fairweather fan cheatin' gooner? (It's hard to not be labeled a fairweather fan when the weather is always fair, eh?) Thus, your retort becomes:

52-9

This is the score from the highest rank OSU had on OU-OSU gameday in the last 20 seasons, when they were No. 14 (recall that Less Smiles said "One team is the best team in the country and the other is a pretty d@mn good football team and we find out which is which Saturday... followed up by "I like this team's resolve!" or something like that after the lopsided loss).

But then, Poke points out that the game was in Norman, not Stool, so we have a final, final, FINAL retort for this. The fact of the matter is that that I can find no Bed-lamb (for Poke lurkers, we are not allowed to type in the word Bedl@m here, so please don't point out my obvious misspelling, kplzthx) games on record that have a ranked OSU team at home beating OU! Thus, we can just use the most recent embarrassment, when OSU was ranked No. 20 in 2004:

38-35

And yes, you can check it here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bedlam_Series):

OSU has never beaten OU in Stillwater when OSU is ranked.

Their goal since the days of Lester, was to become bowl eligible. I guess when they give us the 6-0 business, we simply say, "Congratulations, you are bowl eligible again. How many years is that?"

Except the difference with OU fans is that we can back up the talk almost every year.
