I like those fake punts in timely situations, but only when the wide side of the field is wide open & the punter can complete a lob pass to a sure handed receiver, or it's centered to an up-back who explodes up a wide open middle of the field, aka OU vs aTm in '99. We had great special teams coaching back then. Seems like a long time ago.

I would be surprised if we don't drop further than USC did when they lost and they lost to Oregon State. At least tx was ranked 5th (doesn't make me feel any better), but they are definitely better than Oregon St.

The only reason I say that is because you know how the media favors USC over us.

Tulsa is struggling at SMU, and aggy is leading Mizzou. I don't think I want to live in a world where aggy is the "best team in the state".

It will be interesting to see how the ratings shake out. My guess would be that OU will be one notch ahead of Mizzou between 7-10. LSU will probably go up somehow and Notre Dame will move into the top 25 with their "gritty" losses
