I haven't seen it discussed yet, but was wondering if this was going to be the largest crowd at an OU game ever due to the changes and additions to the Cotton Bowl?

If so, sweet for those in attendance. What a game to witness!

I just hope for attendance sake they make that the total BEFORE halftime...

The only one I could think of that's close is Ohio State in 1977. I looked it up and there was 88,000.

What was the Rose Bowl attendance? I think that stadium holds 90k-plus.

Of course, the Wazzu fans didn't really turn out en masse to see the last time their team was great. In retrospect, they should have gotten everyone out there then instead of trying to pass a school flag from fan to fan for ESPN College Gameday.

We've seen lots of his type here, Horned Frog Penguin, Huskie Penguin, Bearcat Penguin, Baylor Penguin. He won't be around as soon as the final gun goes off.

But then there will always be a Jayhawk Penguin, or a Wildcat penguin or a Husker Penguin that will show up and take his place.

These Penguins are all just alike - fickle and mouthy - until OU mudholes their favorite teams. It's almost like they are the same person or at least twin sons of different mothers.

Korekshun: After halftime, the attendance will be around YOU on the YOU-TEE side... that is, unless you join the rest of your whorns and leave the game :D

In 1998, an upper deck was added to the east side of the stadium, raising capacity to 83,818. The new upper deck provided 10,000 additional bleacher seats and eighty-one skyboxes on two levels—sixty-three 16-seat and eighteen 24-seat capacity boxes. In 1999, four additional skyboxes were built to bring total skybox capacity to 85. Also, a scoreboard with video display capabilities was erected in the south endzone, as well as new light towers for the east side of the stadium. A new east side entrance tower a brick facade and reception areas for the Scholarship and A-Club level patrons was also added during the 1998 expansion.

North endzone expansion (2006)

Following the 2004 football season, the university spent approximately $47 million on an expansion to the North endzone, which was completed days before the 2006 season opener against Hawaii.

It was a 2003-capacity sellout, so I guess you're both right. :)

I hates all of you who will be there. I was at #2 and #3, and wanted #1 something awful. Enjoy it, all of you who are fortunate enough to make it, and have Victory Corny Dog and Beer after the game.
