Normally I don't post anything from ESPN insider since it is a pay service, but one sentence couldn't hurt:

"Oklahoma's defense should be prepared for a pooch punt. McCoy has punted once and placed the ball inside the 20-yard line."

We can only hope we're ready when Mack decides to spring this on us.

As long as Nathan Vashar is not back there fielding said pooch punt for us we will be fine.

He'd be too scared to do it if the wind is blowing over 2 MPH...

I would think Mack would be a bit concerned about one D. Franks roaming around back there and maybe picking up that pooch punt and taking it all the way home.

Hello...McFly...anybody home?

That is exactly why you SHOULD BE posting from ESPN insider!

I think they are saying he might screw the pooch.

1972 I was on the 20 yard line, upper deck, row 4 for the RRS. Had a 5 team parlay card that I was winning on 4 of the 5 teams. The one I was NOT winning was OU giving up 21 to the whorns. Half time score was OU 3 whorns nothing.

On 3rd and 8 or 9 from right in front of me the whorns tried a quick kick. Leeroy Selmon blocked it Dewey recovered it in the end zone for the TD, and the rout was on. Final OU 27, Texas 0.

Great memories, and yes, Selmons' still make great BBQ sauce.

Leroy's place in Tampa is a great place to eat, although, it was a tad high brow and don't remember seeing any BBQ on the menu.

Is it a requirement that all ssaxet headcoaches must first have been affiliated with Oklahoma so they learn a few rudiments of futbol? Like maybe Mack learned that pooch kick during his time at OU????

I miss the days of pooch punters. It's the football version of playing "smallball." I mean, field position is always nice, but it's not sucking *ss that wins football games.
