Speaking of Buckethead, I was at party this summer, just drinking on the deck with my friends and this long haired dude that was saying anything, just sitting there chain smoking cigarettes. Then Buckethead got brought up tangentially, and the dude just goes off about how awesome Buckethead was for a good 15 min. I guess the lesson of the story is don't bring up Buckethead around longhairs that just smoke and don't say ****.

He was replaced by Ron (Bumblefoot) Thal who is probably the best guitar player they will ever have. The guy is a complete monster on the guitar. I mean just sickening good.

being a guitar virtuoso only gets you so far. does he write good riffs? or does he rely on being a really really good guitar player. cuz buckethead is technically a really good guitar player, but the dude sucks. total opinion there on my part though

I guess it depends on what you like? Shred? Blues? Metal? Etc...

I've heard some of his solo stuff and it's not bad, not bad at all. Just depends on what you like I guess.

I can't say for sure if this is Buckethead or Thal ripping the solo on this track, but I like it. Still doesn't necessarily mean I'll buy the cd though.:cool:

I like it. A lot actually. If you're looking for Original GnR Appetite For Destruction type of songs, forget it, ain't for you. It's definitely unique, and admittedly it took a few listens through the entire album to warm up to it, but it's good. Some of the songs are dated, but what do you expect for a CD that took 15 years to make. ;)

Best songs on the Album: Better, Street of Dreams, Sorry, and Chinese Democracy.
