I had modest expectations and you still managed to FAIL me.
Please, go away and don't come back.

Bleccchhhh.

If you've not tried this, please take my word for it.
It's just an oval burger pattie with bad sauce on it, some pickles and onions,
on a bad hoagie bun. The pickles and onions were definitely the highlight.

TURBL.

somewhere in the US (or someplace else)...there are huge warehouses filled with countless boxes filled with McRib "meat". Every few years, those warehouses get a call....and the McRib is back.

no one to blame but yourself Rogue.

The McRib was invented at the University of Nebraska to utilize pork scraps. WTF did you expect out of it?

Dude, you know what was awesome? The McJordan Special. A Quarter Pounder w/Cheese with bacon, BBQ sauce and 2 onion rings. Why don't they bring THAT back?

I mean, besides the fact that MJ has been retired for years? If he can keep releasing new Air Jordan models, then McDonald's can keep re-releasing his sammich.

Make your own.

Pick out a boneless sirloin cut porkchop. Have the butcher tenderize it.

saute in frying pan and smother with warmed bullseye bottled barbeque sauce w/ a teaspoon of honey mixed in.

top with sliced pickles and chopped onion on a sesame seed bun.

You people are all on crack. The McRib is the best sandwich McDonald's has.

Exactly why would McDonald's have pork scraps in dire need of utilization anyhow?

Back in the day, the school cafeteria had a McRib knock off called "Mr. Rib." No menu item caught as much flak as Mr. Rib.

Going to McDonald's with even modest expectations is a huge mistake. The only thing worth eating there is the Chick-Fil-A knockoff. And that's only if they don't overcook it, which they almost always do.

McDonald's didn't but packers do, and are willing to sell them to McDonald's for a little of nothing, ergo the McRib. You don't end up using everything but the oink without a little effort.

I still say the Royale with cheese is the best, but the McRib is easily the second best. When I have a cheat meal and feel like eating something McNasty, its nice for it to be that time of the year when the McRib rears its beautiful head. No onions, please.
