They exploited us a few times last year.

I hope we stack it to stop the run. I trust jackson to cover his man.

Will we see the TE's coming over the middle? If we cover that last year it's a blowout. But, it's hard to cover it all.

Hopefully the pass rush is better and TE's don't have time to get open.

Theories, explanations, and predictions are welcome!

As Pericles said to the Athenians - "TEXAS SUX!

:texan: = DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH"

Do they have a decent, uninjured TE?

the TE in the Colorado game looked like he might be as fast as Ryan Reynolds.

Their top 2 TE's are injured. I think they've pretty much abandoned that position this year out of necessity.

I am more worried about their back up running back.

He made a few catches against Colorado and turned them into big gains.

He is now listed as the starter.

Yep, with Finley gone we should beat them by more this year.

But his first catch and TD run was an illegal play unless my TIVO is broken. McCoy was a full yard across the line of scrimmage when he threw the pass and I have clue why the review didn't over-turn the play. The announcers were calmly saying it would come back and were stunned when it didn't. Doesn't negate the fact the RB looked good, but 65yds and 1TD of his stats were bogus.

They discussed that play at length. Apparently the rule is that if any part of the QB's body is behind the line of scrimmage, it's not an illegal pass. They've changed the rule so that it's not the position of the ball that counts.

Thanks for the clarification. I think it did affect the play because the defensive players gave up on coverage and committed to run defense. So credit goes to McCoy for knowing the outlet was still alive (or just getting lucky). Hopefully, our guys won't make that mistake. But the back didn't really have to do anything but catch an easy flip and run uncontested down the field.

45-does it matter really Eddie?

A resounding "NO" to the thread question.

Did Venables happen to slip in a tape of last year's OU-texass game since the Fiesta Bowl? Probably not.

Too much zone + bad in-game adjustments

#8 is still open and we haven't popped Colt once today
