Wow. A defending national champ rated #4 in the conference? Yeah, KU lost a lot, but still, it's not like they have a bunch of scrubs.

Ok then name somebody you think will step up for KU. I think the list looks pretty good.

5 of the top 6 in the south? We should just rename this conference to Oklahoma and Texas Athletic Conference.

Looks about right to me. KU will be young but very talented. They will lose some conference road games but by the end of the year will be really good.
OU definitely belongs at #1

I also saw where the Sooner women got the No. 1 ranking in their respective Big XII preseason poll. Evil Empire is No. 2 (ha, clip and save that sentence). Iowa State No. 3 and Baylor and TAMU 4 and 5, respectively. Shows how powerful this league can be when the defending conference tourney champion and an Elite 8 team last season is ranked fifth in the conference in preseason.

OU and UTerus are by far the best teams in the conference. KU lost 6 players out of their top 8 in their rotation. Baylor has a lot of talent, but not to the level of OU and UTerus. Nobody else has the consistent talent that the top 2 have. UTerus has a new PG, a Turkish kid who isn't a true shooter. UTerus will be a bombs away from three type team. OU will be more of an inside-out team, that will look to push the tempo, and use their superior depth. OU is the deepest and most versatile team in the conference. They have many players who can play multiple positions, and who can play inside or outside. On the whole, OU is a better. However, if UTerus is hitting their 3s, they can beat anybody in the country, including UNC. If OU gets the inside-out game going, they can beat anybody. With the new 3-pt line, I will go to the bank on a team like OU, UNC, Pitt, or UCONN over teams like Duke or UTerus.
