Uh...I heard it at TCU several times and at least once Baylor....so....


I guess they stop playing when games aren't going on. :confused:

I don't mean the song. I'm referring to the chant with the cheerleaders holding up the signs. I used to really like that.

I think that died down in the mid '90s. It used to be done all the time prior to that, but when OU was down and the 'rioded up other red was up...it didn't make much sense to proclaim ourselves the "big red". I'd like to see it back on a more consistent basis, and it has been done here and there. But, nowhere close to how it used to be.

Because of the logistics involved, I've only seen the sign version at basketball, not football.

Because of the logistics involved, I've only seen the sign version at basketball, not football.

They used to do it at the north end of Owen Field. Students were the Go, North end zone was the Big, West side was the Red.

Yeah, Nebbish kinda of stole our thunder in the 90's.

Oh yeah, and how could I forget this week??

I have pined for years to return the Big Red to NORMAN, OKLAHOMA!
