Speaking of hugs, just out of curiousity, when you all hug, is it your right cheek (face) near their right cheek, meaning my head goes onto their right shoulder? I believe most people hug this way. I have heard it depends on if you are left or right handed.

Also, most female friends I have like to hug, even though I did not grow up a huggy person. I have learned to like it, though. Guys will hug if it is a special moment or event, but not in ghey manner at all. It seems more a chick thing. Another question is whether it is ok to kiss the woman on the cheek during the hug? Most friends don't do it, but I see nothing wrong with doing so if it is a good friend (female).

hugs all depend on who the person is, where they grew up... my dad's side of the family all kiss you on the cheek when they hug. Most people I know around here don't do that. Most europeans i know do the kiss, though. sometimes a kiss on each cheek. Most of my friends (even guys) hug everyone (even guys) as greetings.

I'm not sure where doleo's proposed ***-cupping hug fits into all of that. :eek:
