View Full Version : What is your favorite candy bar?

Skittles do not count or anything fruity. Rolos might count but I am not sure. Can we count peanut butter cups? If we count those then Rolos should be counted.

My favorite is the Caramello. I like to put them in freezer so they are crunchy with a nice caramel center. Watchamacallits are great too. I used to eat one and a Coke everyday after school when I was a kid. Maybe that is why I am a fatty? Rolos would have to be my 2nd though just because they are like a Caramello. Heath and Skore are on my top 5 too.

What do you like?

Maybe you know of something that none of us have had or heard of before?

I like the Caramello-like candy bar called Caramel that fundraisers sell. Other than that it's Butterfinger for me.

I almost suggested those myself. I LOVE those things. I'm pretty sure I sent half the junior class to prom by buying so many of those things.

They have them everywhere here on campus. I accidentally bought one thinking I was getting a regular Twix and thought I was going to vomit. They were HORRIBLE

See, I would not even think to answer Reese's peanut butter cups to a "favorite candy bar" question. They fail at being bar-shaped.

Zero bars are pretty dang good.

Milky Way bars are the win.

Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't! In your case that is 99% of the time!

Don't overlook Snickers Dark or Snickers Almond. They're the arugula of mass produced candy bars.

Peanut Butter Twix

Impossible to find.
Have you had the ones where the cookie part is chocolate? Even better.

When peanut butter Twix first came out when I was a kid, I thought they were great because the peanut butter came off the cookie so easily. I had spent a great deal of time on the regular ones trying to get the caramel off the top of the cookie, but could never get it all off there without breaking it. The peanut butter came right off, leaving the pristine cookie in all it's glory.

Nummins. Swiss Chocolate with honey and almond nougat. You can usually get the regular kinds, (milk, white and dark) in the U.S., but I love what they call the "Black Toblerone" that I found in Switzerland. There's almost no sugar in the chocolate, and it's awesome.

Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs (at Easter)
Reese's Peanut Butter Pumpkins (at Halloween)

Any combination of peanut butter and milk chocolate is the win.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the Heath bar. I don't get them often but they (and Butterfinger) are darn good in ice cream.

And that brings up the question about how you eat the various candy bars:

Twix - peel the caramel off the cookie
Three Muscateers - peel the chocolate off of the nugget (Sp?)
Reese's Pieces - In the winter warm them up in front of the heater (or with body heat) until they're nice and soft. Squish them right before eating them.
Milky Way - eat the nugget first leaving the caramel/chocolate for last.

I still do this if nobody is around. I also lick the crap out of my plate as long as there is is not a sole in sight - been caught by my wife though....

Anybody remember Ice Cubes?

Little cubes of silky smooth chocolate blended with hazlenut, wrapped in foil...they were everywhere when I was a kid, now can only find them at specialty candy shops or on the web. And when I do find them, I OD on them.
